This place does not even deserve a star for this…. My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for YEARS!! Don’t get me wrong the food is great but the service we received today by all staff tonight was awful! I was looking forward to celebrating my birthday here as always but it unfortunately, it was the worst experience… We took an ice cream cake (it was rock solid and recently purchased from the DQ next to them) and we asked if they could put the cake in their freezer. The lady said they did not have a freezer, only a fridge. We said no big deal, it was super frozen anyway. Our server was inattentive and we had to ask other staff to bring us the drinks we were still waiting on. As soon as we were done eating, the server approached us and asked if we wanted to go plates for the rest of our food. Out of no where three staff members were standing behind us lingering, it made us feel like we were being rushed for us to leave already. So, we asked the server for the cake, plates, and spoons. We were told they didn’t have spoons. The server brought us to go foam plates and forks. When they bring us the cake it was super melted… like they left it sitting out, it was definitely not in the fridge. The staff members were still lingering around while we were cutting the cake and wrapping up our night. It made me so uncomfortable having staff standing around us when they were not around when we got there and when we were eating. I even checked at what time the restaurant closed (it was 8:30ish and they close at 10). Horrible, horrible experience… The service we received ruined the food and atmosphere for us…. This will be the last...

Visited El Dorado for the first time today. Got there about 3 o’clock so it was a light crowd which is the way I like it. Plenty of tables which were clean and I had my choice to sit down.

Irma was prompt and brought me the menu as she greeted me with a smile. She was kind and courteous and there’s something special about her so if you get her tip her well.

I asked her about the onion rings which she said we’re fresh and large and very good. I ordered them as well as a water and I waited for them as I devoured my chips and salsa. Fresh Roma tomatoes, and a nice juice saturated my chips wonderfully.

She was not kidding regarding the onion rings. They were large and a very nice portion. So much so that it filled me up. after finishing the onion rings, I ordered my entrée to go. They brought it to my table and I was very impressed with how they prepared it.

They put it on a various sturdy Chinet paper plate and wrap it in aluminum foil. Placed my shrimp, stuffed crab, salad, half pound of fajitas, baked potato, Texas toast, as well brown rice on the foil to keep it warm. They double wrapped in cellophane and sent me home with plenty of condiments. They did not send me home in one of those cheap Styrofoam to go containers which demonstrated they actually had pride in their product.

I can’t say enough about this place as my first impression was spectacular. I will revisit once again and I...

Ok i always eat migas locas, and ask for tortillas harina crispy ,since they don't give tortilla chips for breakfast,si yea the tortillas were like old ,yes they are crispy but u can taste fresh from old,my plate of midas local was brought out and it inly had beans no papas,I asked waitress she said they ran out of the square potatoes at 10 am,sure well so she brings me shredded hashbrowns, and they were like resoaked in oil and the midas were like old also,u can really taste old from fresh, well maybe we went to early, when they serve the food from the prior day,or maybe the cook was too lazy to do the hasbrowns fresh, and maybe the cooks get frustrated when customers like me want the tortillas crispy,it's very good always, but that wasn't the case today,im dyeing of heartburn with all the grease the redipped hashbrown had, this is the first time in this location this has happened, cause one time it happened to the waslaco location, like I said I always ask for crispy tortillas to eat with my salsa and they gave me old crispy tortillas u can taste the old like from 2 or 3 days other than that great breakfast always...

- The decor is synonymous with what you would find in a rustic, norteño setting. Situated in the corner of a small plaza, this Mexican restaurant is large, with plenty of seating. Very busy, but the service was reasonably quick. We were seated almost immediately, had our coffee in no time. We came for brunch. My flour tortilla had an authentic homemade taste, which I enjoyed. We ordered a plate that had a variety, to sample the staple foods. The barbacoa had the perfect ratio of flavor and texture, not greasy at all! The menudo was not as good as the one mom makes, but it was good, for a typical Mexican restaurant grade. Their coffee was good. We kept accepting the server’s refills. Their menu has plenty of selections to choose from for any time of the day. We will definitely be coming back to try the lunch menu.

Ate a botana from here with my wife and we loved it, so much food. It was delicious. My mouth watered as i ate the fajitas. Then i realized i forgot to take pictures. So we decided to come back for breakfast to see if it was as good as the reviews say... well, we devoured our tacos in full monster mode, i had never eaten so fast before... then it hit me. I forgot to take the pictures again. Highly recommend. We'll be coming back to hopefully get some pictures. Edit: came back for more breakfast and took pictures, everything was delicious but one taco, a ham and egg taco. Something tasted off, almost like if i was eating banana. I can't let that be the reason i drop stars. Everything else was amazing.
