El Manjar Bakery — Restaurant in Alamo

Dont know if because people were new and not experienced but this was Sadly disorganized. Peoples orders were being callled out partially. There was no system to follow and complete one order as it came out people were waiting longer for simple things because of portions of orders being given instead of whole. Was glad I checked my bags was not given salsa till I asked nor was I even asked if I wanted any or did they try and upsell or offer the other types of salsas. Okay so home now eating my carnitas. Here I will say thank you I saw the effort the workers were trying and I love the carnitas. Very tender and the orange salsa gave it awesome flavor. Sorry, wish I could give better review. I think I had bad luck and got the sweet bread from day before. Bread was a little hard and could feel and taste was not fresh was I was sad because I saw when they brought two fresh trays of bread out. Hopefully they can get this more together and in order to improve their quality and speed of service. I loved the carnitas and my gf loved the barbacoa and the salsas were good. Please reach out for help in management. I believe this establishment can be great if everyone can find a system to follow and create order.

We were normal customers because we loved their bread. Due to current COVID situations we stopped going to any places. But today we decided to go and to our surprise all the employees in the back did not have any mask or gloves on, despite that they had signs indicating mask required. The young man at the cash register did not have gloves and asked me to sign with a pen and they did not have any sanitizer wipes or gel. Thankfully I always carry my own’. Bright new colorful building. Large assortment of baked goods. Their cake display is right at the entrance, and they have some real interesting names of cakes, something like Better Than Sex!
