Taqueria Don Yeyo — Restaurant in Alamo

My honest opinion what you need to know before ordering I Rate 🌟 🌟 🌟 for these reasons. First! you need to know there's 4 food trucks and there waiters will rush to you as you arrive to see where you choose to eat. Telling you to choose them, I know sounds strange but it's true. The outside place is very clean 👌 including Restrooms had paper, floor clean and also had hand sanitizer but let's cut to the chase we want to know about pricing and food reviews. I ordered 2 combos which are 4 bistec tacos, papa & a can drink, 1 order of fries, 2 orders of tacos & 2 drinks sold separately because it's not a combo. My ticket was $60.60 not including tip which in my opinion was ridiculous 😑 prices was not on some items as they hand you a menu til I found out that each combo was $13.00 each and $11 each order of tacos. My mistake but thinking it was a outside food vend i didnt think anything of it. I've been to numerous taco stands, taco restaurants and this will be the highest I've paid for a combo meal so people please be careful. Now the food rating 1-10 I Rate a 7 the food was okay I can't argue with that but the salsa they offer was stored didn't look fresh I can easily tell looked like a past day or so, look at the pictures you be the judge. Drinks were given mid way as we ate usually drinks are givin as the food arrives or before but this one was different and in case you wondering "Was it busy?" No, aside were a older couple that had finished as we got there we were the only ones there. This place really needs work on pricing if i would of known I'd simply eat a actual restaurant for that price. I was really stunned for it not being a huge name and paying high price and that previous review about "Good prices" that is NOT TRUE either they know the people or work there also waiter needs to be more aware of there customers in case they need something. Update after 2 great times this time was bad:-( not sure if we’ll be going back since the potato is dry and packaged horribly and the tacos were pretty dry and smaller than usual with no grilled onions, etc. As far as food goes it really surprised us; in a good way, since we were served beans right before the food and the food itself was in huge portions. The drinks we did have to ask for mid way before they main meal got there but it’s ok not too busy either for sitting in. The price honestly was a bit similar to your local taqueria restaurant for $12.99 plus each combo but I thought it was better than getting a pizza for the same price. We usually go out to eat a few times a week or more and try new things so yeah parking isn’t the best but next time we’ll definitely drive thru if we want a great delicious meal at a decent price. Went by for lunch to have some tacos and they were really damn good. I got the tacos Al pastor and they protein was so nicely cooked and crips while not being dry. The tortillas on their own as well were nicely mildly seared and not super soaked in oil, I've gone to taquerias and the tacos are just drenched in oil and it's gross but this had a perfect balance. The beans were great, not spicy so they will accommodate even those that may not like spicy food. The cebilla encurtida and the grilled onions were also just on point!
