Texas Inn Alamo — Hotel in Alamo

Stayed for 2 weeks service was amazing they would check if needed cleaning or needed anything. Place is close to a Valero, McDonald's, HEB, and other stores at walking distance if you like to walk like me. Have washer and dryer love that I could pay with my phone so didn't have to carry a bunch of quarters (didn't like that twice that I was gonna wash the washer all of a sudden would change like if it was occupied when it wasn't cause I had just taken my clothe out). Rooms where good kinda sucked not having a little table where my kids are laying on the floor, but sort of worked out cause I was able to put an air mattress for my 2 oldest so they didn't sleep on the floor. Says free breakfast, but was kinda confused I didn't see any so I ask and I guess it was only on weekends which its fine with me. Swimming pool was usually fool so wasn't really able to enjoy it because some of the people that would leave the pool weren't even staying here. Yes I understand they would come and visit family here, but to be in the Swimming pool all day and for the once paying to stay here not be able to go and enjoy it was annoying. The pool is nice. That's the only thing that is good in this hotel. And the prices are not even worth it. First of all I called ahead to ask if they had rooms available down stairs. The man that answered the phone said yes. It took us less then 2 min to get to the hotel and when my husband went to book the room they had apperantly just booked the last available room down stairs a couple of minutes ago.. we got a room up stairs, the first thing we noticed is that the pillow that were on the bed were the size of couch pillows. Booked room partially because of pool & hot tub. Pool NOT heated - too cold to use. Hot tub not working for the entire week we were there. Room was clean, large & beds were comfortable. Motel rates are based on room & amenities - when an amenity or service is not available or not working, my opinion is, rates should be adjusted. Hot tub issue was discussed multiple times with staff - no manager available until last day of our stay. We were told "NO REFUNDS".
