Muelle 37 — Restaurant in Alamo

For anyone paying with a card, highly recommend to NOT leave your receipt blank on the “additional tip” because they will add whatever tip they want and then not do anything about it. I went in with my family on 10/13/23 and we were charged 15% gratitude on each receipt. So I didn’t leave an additional amount just signed it. When I checked my bank I noticed the amount was different. It was $15.00 more. I thought maybe after the 15% gratitude it would equal that amount but it was still adding up to more. I asked my father to check his receipt too and he also noticed his amount was off. In total it was about $26+ plus the 15% gratitude on each of our tickets we got charged. When I called the restaurant I was told they had to investigate and they would call me back. It’s been 5 days and I still have not received a call. I understand we are in times of need but it is not right for whoever added the additional tip choose to write whatever amount they please. First time here n my wife n i were very impressed. We got the sea platter for 2 which was more for 4. 2 shrimp cocktails, 2 ceviche tostadas, 4 large fried shrimp, 4 large tilapia fillets , 2 tasty stuffed crabs, a pile of fries n onion rings, 4 slices of texas roast, a nice pile of either rice with shrimp or with octopus, n a large salad. They start u off with a small veggie consume (soup) with refried beans, chips n a nice spicy green salsa. We came home with 3 fillets, most of fries n onion rings, toast, salad, most of the rice with shrimp, fried shrimp. all very good. The steamed rice was dry and a little bland compared to the Pharr location. Server was nice but wasn't offered a refill on my drink. We sat in a high trafficked area and would've thought an empty cup would be obviously seen. We had to ask another server to please refill when I was finishing my meal. Condiments were proactively provided and Fish was cooked better compared to the Pharr location that didn't.
