Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Alamosa

HEALTH CODE VIOLATION!!! Non-service animals are not allowed in restaurants! But hey, this town (Alamosa) is full of inconsiderate residents. When I stayed here a couple years ago and walked from my hotel to a restaurant, I was almost hit several times. And again tonight. A kid was just backing out of a ToGo spot and came about 6 inches from running me over. I AM DONE with Alamosa!!! As for the restaurant, my server was Awesome. Olivia was very attentive and just a real joy to have as a waitress. The food wasn’t very good unfortunately. My steak was cooked well-done (ordered medium), the loaded mashed potatoes were runny, the ranch is always runny at all Chilis, and the broccoli was undercooked (crispy). Definitely not worth returning to. I don’t typically return food if it’s edible. Even though the steak was overcooked, it wasn’t burnt and tasted good. 8:45 pm on a Thursday night, in Alamosa, Chili’s is about the only restaurant open. So no competition means travelers will have few to no other options but to eat here. I ordered take out. When you do you get a text letting you know, your food is ready and you can go in and get it. I never got the text letting me know it was ready. I got tired of waiting for the text after almost 45 minutes and went in. My food had been ready and sitting there for a while. I said I didn't want the food and just wanted a refund. When the manager came up he was rude right away and said " we don't bring it to you , you have to come in and get it" I was trying to explain, and show him on my phone that I did not get the text message and therefore my food sat for too long. He was very rude from the beginning and acted like he wasn't interested in anything I had to say completely dismissing me. I am entitled to a refund since I did not take the food. I am the General Manager of the Fairfield by Marriott just down the road and when my guests ask for dinner recommendations, I will make sure we let them know about the horrible service and will highly recommend they go somewhere else. What a terrible way to handle a situation!...

We ordered the chips and salsa. When our order arrived, the chips were all crumbs like the bottom of the bag. I ordered the quesadilla explosion salad. The picture on the menu look amazing. There was a salad with a sliced chicken breast and four small quesadilla pieces on the sides. What I got was not that at all! It was a salad with chicken pieces and some kind of dressing all mixed together and it did not look appealing. I sent it back. The manager came over to my table and apologized for the salad and asked if I would like anything which I said no thank but then offered a dinner salad which I thought would be ok. In a very condescending way he asked me if there is anything at all I wouldn’t like on my salad which I replied no onions. When the salad was brought out he came over and asked if that looked better. Very rude and uncalled for. When we got our ticket to pay, he charged me for the salad!
