Starbucks — Restaurant in Alamosa

While some may argue that a third Starbucks is excessive, the addition of one in City Market has proven quite convenient for me. Given my infrequent visits to the other two locations in town, having this option available has been a nice welcome. What sets this location apart is the great service provided by barista Delilah. She consistently exhibits a friendly demeanor, offers assistance with any inquiries, and often provides samples of various drinks and food items. On two occasions, I've discovered items I didn't even know existed thanks to her samplings. Moreover, this Starbucks is never overly crowded and is conveniently situated at the front of the store. One of the great aspects of Starbucks is their commitment to customer satisfaction. I usually go to Starbucks in Safeway because they are constant 100% regardless of who is working. I drink Javachip Frap, and I usually get it every other day. I know how it is supposed to taste. The drink the girl made today in City Market was disgusting. It tasted like ground beans. I went back in to tell her it tasted like ground beans, and she replied with we put coffee in it. I said, "I KNOW, but that's all I can taste." She then asked if I wanted to try putting chocolate in it. I said you could try. She got the squeeze bottle of chocolate (what they put on the whipped cream) and squirted some little dashes. As if that was going to do anything. She clearly didn't know what she was doing, so I walked away, frustrated. The drink was so gross I threw it away. I'll be sure to tell people to avoid...

I live and have lived in major metropolitan areas with 20-30 starbucks in a small radius w very fancy starbucks settings and furniture. None of that I will ever remember. The approach, smile and kindness from the barista that attended me here (I hate i cant remember his name) was something that stuck with me even though we didn't chat much. I was still waking up. He has a peculiar mustache maybe and a distinct look which I admire/envy. How long can a smile go. Thank you to this person who conveyed so much in so little time. I hope...
