KFC — Restaurant in Alamosa

I rated this franchise as a 4 because of the food and my respect for the original Colonel. Having had a stepmother that was born and raised in Middlesboro, Ky., I started eating KFC as a child of 8 because Berea Ky. is right up the road from Middlesboro ( about 20 some odd miles ). Berea Ky is home to the first KFC in America. This means 55 years of eating the Colonel's food and I have seen an incredible amount of changes in the food, service, and appearance of their stores. I find myself at a loss for words to describe my feelings when I go to 1 of their restaurants now. Please don't misunderstand the food is better tasting and better for you than a vast propensity of the fast food places available to the public yet I remember the precepts that this organization was founded on and in this they all come up short. Colonel Sanders built his stores with the idea in mind that the general public could get better food for a better price than any of the other choices out there. Well it's still better food but unfortunately KFC has become greedy now that the old man is gone and taken the prices to a ridiculous level. I think that 5 stars would be an easy rating to give if they made it possible for families to get the dream that was his back into play and make it possible for those of us who are not independently wealthy to enjoy the meal without having to take out a second mortgage. I had did an online order of two of their $20 fill up boxes and had asked for specific sauces such as bbq honey and kfc sauce only for one and honey bbq, ranch, sticky chicky sweet and sour sauce and the kfc sauce and instead of getting any of those in my order I got what the box originally comes with which is unacceptable all considering I can’t have anything spicy at the moment and neither can my mother. Also the staff wasn’t smiling or was greeting in a happy mood. The food looks fine but I’m not happy that they couldn’t follow my order instructions. My family had a terrible experience here. They are either so short staffed that they cannot even get close to serving the amount of people who come here, or their workers are so poor that they will mess an order up in multiple ways. We ordered 3 famous bowls and no drinks or sides. 1 bowl with gravy and 2 without. Instead, we got 2 with gravy and none without. Simple mistakes are understandable, but at a food restaurant, you need to make sure that more than 1/3 of the meals are correct. Otherwise the food is certainly not finger lickin' good.
