We will not be returning customers. As an airport style set up, you’d think they would have more than two waitresses and one bartender for the entire restaurant. This is nothing against our waitress Amy Jolee. She was incredible and I don’t know how she handled half a restaurant, which her half seemed entirely full. There wasn’t a moment where she wasn’t running around helping everyone she could. Understandably, this made service extremely slow. She had no help. We arrived at 11:50 and got our drinks 40 minutes later. We did order food (chicken strips and fries) which came out at 12:25. Amy was running around like crazy so we did not have any napkins, water or and had to wait for that. Just so you know, there is a 4% service fee. It doesn’t matter if you pay with cash like we did. She explained this is what she was taught and showed us for herself. I asked the manager who finally appeared to clear some tables, if they’re short staffed. His response was no. I asked if he was sure and explained our experience and what we witnessed. He reassured us they are not short staffed and shrugged his shoulders: So this must be their regular service… I feel horrible for the waitresses (2) and bartender (1). If you want to stop in for one drink and possibly a snack before your flight even with an hour+ to play with, this is not the place for you. I’d honestly recommend any other place. The food was great. Just make sure you have around 2 hours before your flight. I’m guessing the kitchen is short staffed too… but they did a great job. I truly hope the business reads this review so they can provide some extra staff so people can be taken care of in a somewhat…...
Read moreNever have i been treated that way by a server and in my life. Upon arrival the sign said to seat yourself and a server will be with you shortly. I sat down and waited when shortly after Brooke A. showed up. She dropped the menu on the table and immediately demanded my order. Mind you i haven’t studied the menu before so frankly i have no idea. I pick the burger my friend had suggested and called it a day. When minutes later she showed up again to let me know she was out of the burger i ordered. Again she demanded what i wanted instead as if i had studied the menu and knew exactly what my opinions were. She mentions two other burgers, doesn’t give any indication on whats on it. So i just pick one, whatever. Eventually she brings my burger and just drops the plate of next to me. Doesn’t give me any silverware or napkins whatsoever. I had to get up and look for it. Brooke cares very little about how the meal is or if i need anything and just brings the check. She was super inconvenienced when I wanted to use different payment options. She also charged me for two burgers which she doesn’t realize until i went back inside questioning why i spent $56 for one single burger. She then had the manager correct the check and comment-less slapped the receipt in my hand and walked away. I would seriously reconsider your waitress choice as Brooke A. was less than welcoming or even friendly for that matter. Will not come back nor...
Read moreBeen here a few times, on the ‘public’ side of the restaurant, before passing through security.
Always have a long layover in ANC, due to when flights depart for the Philippines.
Have eaten here on multiple occasions, especially when I’m unable to check my bags, and pass through security.
This evening, I tried to order the same thing I’ve ordered for a while - their pulled pork tacos. Only I cannot eat pork, so I’ve always asked the staff (or management) to substitute chicken (fried or grilled - never mattered) instead of the pork.
It’s never been an issue. Until it was. Tonight.
After waiting on a manger to (“maybe”) come speak to me, I was greeted with the excuse of ‘We recently changed our menu’. [False]
After some conversing / negotiating, the manager to whom I was speaking, said that her manager, will make a one-time exception for me. But that ‘next time’, I’ll have to pay for a substitution.
Consistency is key. I work in food service and hospitality and have for the last two decades.
They’ve been making this “accommodation” for about half of a year now.
So…there goes that business from my wallet.
You took something that was good, and indicative of good customer service and you crapped all over it.
I’ll brown bag it if I have to, from this point forward. Will not give them any patronage from this...
