I was previously a lotus fanatic for years until I discovered their Iced Vanilla Chai. It’s sweet and delicious both in the cold winter months and hot summer nights. The service is always excellent, and the young men who work the late evening shift have NEVER led me astray when I ask about new cold drinks to try. My recent favorite has been the frozen fruit punch lemonade for those who are looking for a drink with no caffeine. For hot beverages, my go to’s have always been safe choices like a WCM or white hot chocolate. I’ve even added CBD scoops to the hot drinks and 10/10 recommend.
Boom has become a family tradition of ours, I’ve taken people straight to this stand after they’ve had a night of partying to refuel, I’ve driven family and friends from out of state to Boom right after a long flight or heading on a red eye out of town. Even for myself, I make sure I add on some extra time to get a drink before road trips to Homer, Seward, Kenai, Girdwood, etc.
Don’t let the wait times deter you from going here, it’s well worth the wait. Alaska has great coffee and Boom is right up there with Cafe D’Arte and Kaladi Brothers,...
Read moreThey are awesome people with great personality and have great patience even at 2 a.m. when the midnight shift or late night worker has to go into work. I love how I go and they don't get my drinks wrong or make the mistake of giving me someone else's order. They are kind and considerate, are well paced in all their adverse work conditions. They make the most beautiful cups of coffee in the least amount of time. Each cup is a taste of excellence. Please recommend to all the coffee drinkers and coffee-holics, whether you're a last minute rusher or late night cruncher, I love the service as much as I love the coffee. Open 24/7 with some exceptions of excellence to be had. Any further questions or concerns, feel free to ask your baristas and please tip considerably, contrary to popular belief, sales do not include gratuity or inflated prices to pay them for their hard work. Tips are welcome and I recommend giving back to those who deal with your grumpiness or accept your $0.05 tip after a long day at...

I'm sure this place is wonderful and everyone is friendly. Go here for coffee for sure. Its cheap too.
My only complaint is if you ask the ingredients or if something is sweetened they need to actually check and not just tell you no when it is. This has happened at least twice now.
For me I've gone twice (because I forgot the first time which is why I'm writing this review so I see it next time I Google coffee/tea.) I asked specifically if their matcha was sweetened and was told no both times, but it is definately very sweet and not plain matcha powder. It tastes like desert which is wonderful for some, but not me. I didnt want to be bothersome so paid and took it, but it was so sickly sweet I couldn't drink it and had to pour it out.
6 bucks wasted again- at least its cheap. But now I'm losing time to find another coffee shop. Very frustrating on a tight schedule.
Nothing against this place overall- I just want to...
