Only been here 2 times first time I ordered to go so didn't get a good look at the place. Second time I dined in and I must say NEVER AGAIN! Especially when there are similar restaurants in the area.

The food selection is small and nothing special. It was good but that's not the issue. Staff was friendly again not the issue.

I can Overlook the dated decor dirty stained chairs/ benches, dim lighting, and old dishes that's not what puts me off.

The real issue is this place is a walking Helth Code Violation!!!! I'm surprised they haven't been shut down. The Heath inspector needs to really come in and write them up because it's that gross and going to get someone sick!

Black mold is Everywhere!! you literally can't find a single wall that doesn't have very thick visible Black mold all over it!! Pay close attention around the picture frames and up in the corners of the walls/ ceilings where it's most prominent. The ceiling is completely filthy. All the ceiling tiles are warped from collecting moisture over the years. all the air vents are caked with dust witch falls off into your food and floats around the air every time the air system kicks on. The grill and kitchen area are covered in old grease and dust, it's just seconds away from a full on kitchen fire!! Every surface feels sticky from the grease that's collected. There is no ventilation in the building and with all the food steamers going to keep the food hot it causes condensation to accumulat everywhere! You can't even see out the windows because there is so much moisture on them. There is some kind of fruit fly/ nat problem in there building because you can see lil flying bug out the corner of your eye while dining. Wouldn't be surprised if there is also a rodent problem but I luckily didn't see any evidence in the time I was there.

Overall this place should not be aloud to operate in its current state. It was so Gross i need a show after being in that building for an hour! I feel compelled to call a health inspector tomorrow in hopes to get this place shut down till a time that it can be made safe for humans to eat here...

Ding how is this place still open? Ding who runs this place? I’ve never been to an establishment where I truly felt disgusted by the food I was eating. Golden Corral, the pinnacle of subpar food is like a Michelin-starred restaurant in comparison to the luke warm/cold food I ate here earlier today. I was brought here by a friend who swore by it, yet we all left with upset stomachs despite eating about 1/3 the amount a cheaper restaurant would serve. I thought my first bowl of soup was a fluke, so when I went back for more only to realize if I don’t finish the septic waste on my plate I would be charged 7 extra dollars (on top of the $23 per person mind you) if I didn’t pinch my nose to haphazardly swallow the toxic waste down. To finish this off, 1.) don’t eat here. There’s better restaurants for cheaper, you will feel better if you get a steak pull apart burrito from the Taco Bell right next door, and you’ll also spend far less time on the toilet. 2.) if you don’t follow my warning, go early. Surely the food fresh off the grill (or on The floor underneath it) will have to taste better than whatever the hell I put in my mouth earlier. And finally 3.) don’t tip. Remember! In a restaurant where you grab your own food and the fortune cookies are quite literally recycled waste from other Asian restaurants, (my fortune cookie was one from PeKing, wouldn’t be surprised if it was pulled out of the dumpster out back along with all the other food) why would you pay extra money for a lackluster dining experience when you do all the work yourself. Anyways, the crab rangoons had no crab, just oddly salty cream cheese, the pork belly was comparable to a car tire, and I’ve never wanted to dine (or lack there of) and dash so badly in my life. Ding how does this place make money? Ding why does anybody go here when there’s other, better, cheaper Asian restaurants. Ding what do I have to do to get off the toilet! Ding where is the health inspectors? And finally, Ding when is this place going to be shut down, cause I’d love to be there to see the sign get pulled down and replaced with a chikfila or...

My husband and I went to Ding How and both got one bowl of the Mongolian BBQ. We ate the majority of our bowls, but my husband had about 1/4 of his bowl left. We asked if we could take it with us, and the host said she would have to charge us $7. I said "don't worry about it, just leave it then." She said "I am still going to charge you for wasted food." I said "wait, we didn't get a bunch of food. We got one bowl each, which should be covered in the charge for the buffet. We didn't get seconds, we didn't get anything from the food bar. So you're telling me, if we don't eat every morsal, you charge another $7.00+ per person." She said "Sorry." I told her "We'll pay your $7, but we won't come back." What they're doing is deceptive. They advertise an "all you can eat" buffet, then penalize you financially if you don't eat every bite on your plate. There is no way to know how much you'll get through before you are full. Again, I understand trying to keep waste down, and charging extra to those who get multiple plates, or go back multiple times, but we didn't waste any food. We got one bowl each, didn't go back for seconds, ate all we could from our one bowl, and only had a small bit left over. They are taking advantage and price gouging their customers, and it is despicable, and likely goes against Alaska's consumer protection laws (who I will be making a call to today). We won't go back. We don't frequent establishments that take advantage of...

Really this place deserves 2.5 stars but it wouldn't let me rate it half. I'm from Houston so I've eaten at quite a few Chinese Buffets and Hibachi style restaurants with expansive buffet options. This place had an extremely small buffet option compared to what I usually see but I went with it. The first issue is the $7 fee for wasted food. Already having limited options and never having eaten there it makes you almost scared to try anything for fear of being charged, when did restaurants start using scare tactics to save money? Not too mention the base charge for one person is 13.95 so add $7 for a wasted plate and it can get pricey for chinese buffet. Typically I would pay $9-$11 per person at one of these so it seems a bit exorbitant. Now for the food, the hibachi seems to be the best part though the meats look flash frozen or something, my family still enjoyed it. The rest of the buffet items were debatable, as it was not more than 12 items what was good and what was bad made pickings seem even slimmer. As a noodle enthusiast I went straight for the lo mein, sadly it was bland and sauceless so I couldn't eat it but forced myself for fear of the $7 wasted food charge. Honestly I would not come back or recommend this place for lunch unless you enjoy being bullied by price gouging. You'd probably be better off just ordering in.

This was the first place I visited to have a meal on my first trip to Anchorage. My first impression was of the care and comfortable feeling of the place. I was welcomed, grabbed a bowl and began making a pile of ingredients I liked. The cook took time to ask how I liked my sauces and gave his kind approval. I was seated and took in the ambiance of the place while my food was cooked on the flat iron. I noticed locals coming in and realized I missed some protocol, get seated first and then go up! I also noticed folks excitement and eagerness to be there. People asking for their favorite booth, couples excited for their date nights. The meal was perfectly cooked, I'd go back a thousand times just to have the same thing again. If I went back a second time however, I'd try the hot side buffet. They ask that folks only take what they can eat, so I dutifully returned an empty bowl. See photos for how Ding How greets travelers in Anchorage. Personally I couldn't have asked for a better introduction. Thank you Ding How!

DING HOW! Mongolian BBQ. Whew! You never leave this place hungry whatsoever! In fact I am full the rest of the day after this place! It is good!! Mongolian BBQ and a buffet next to it as well. I mean it is genius! Best of my two favorite worlds!! All you can eat buffet and Mongolian grill! Wow!!! There is also a salad bar but why bother with such! There is too much other real food!! Check out my photos and get a feel for the two sides of all you can eat wonder!! If you can handle some spice then do so!! Price is not terrible you just are satisfied all around. There is fresh fruit and ice cream which I applaud them in having. My kids love that part and I did too. The people that run it are friendly! Oh and don’t be intimidated by their signage on the table. Just actually eat your food! Eat what you dish up!
