Rude management. Sierra needs to be reprimanded for her poor attitude and lack of management skills. I placed an order around 3:00pm on 11/8 for 2 chicken snack wraps with added bacon ($2.50 each, $ total). When I came home I noticed there was no bacon in my snack wraps. Not the end of the world, I'll still eat them. But I am NOT paying $5 for nothing. So I call the store and speak to Sierra and explain the situation. She says "bring back the receipt and we can refund you." I explain to her that I not driving back, that I placed the order on the McDonald App and I don't have a receipt. She then says 2x "you don't have a receipt?" to which I answer, I placed the order on the App! She then says "bring the food back in and we'll make you new food" and I said, "I ate it, and I wouldn't have wanted to drive back to have new food made anyways." She mockingly laughs and says, "you ate them??" and I told her yes, that I don't mind them not having bacon but I don't want to pay for something I didn't get. She then continues this scoffing laugh and says "uhh yeah, I can't do anything if you ate the sandwiches." I try to explain to her again that I just wanted a refund for the missing bacon they did not put on. Sierra suddenly puts me on mute/hold with no notice (as if she hung up on me) but I wait patiently and she comes back and says "yeah we're not giving you a refund without the receipt or the food." So clearly Sierra does not know how the App works and needs some education / training. She also needs to work on her listening skills, as I said multiple times that I did eat the sandwich, I am not driving back, and I would like a refund for the missing bacon ONLY. What is so hard to understand here? Such poor attitude and customer...
Read moreHands down the worst McDonald's in Anchorage. The service is terrible and remarkably, the management is ruder than the rest of the staff.
The last order I had here was incorrect. I called and let them know and the manager I spoke to said he would be happy to replace the meal for me and he'd "put it in the book." No biggie -- I was fine with that.
I went back to get the meal replaced and the female manager on duty (who forced herself into the drive thru window and announced she was the head manager on duty) argued with me about the meal because I didn't bring a receipt back in with me. I specifically asked the manager over the phone if I needed to bring the receipt back and he said "don't worry about it, you're in the book." She basically accused me of trying to cheat them out of a meal and I told her to look in her book. Sure enough, there was my name from the day before. Even then, she continued to be belligerent.
I had a suspicion about the manager so I called my wife to swing by on the way home for lunch. Sure enough, I was right. We had stopped in a while back and my wife confirmed this was the same manager who was telling off another customer and told them she didn't care about their complaint and they could leave the store.
I'd love to give her name, but guess what? No name badge.
At any rate, I suggest avoiding this store. It's a franchise and it's obvious the owner cares nothing about his service or reputation since when I asked to speak to the owner, I was told he rarely comes in.
As a side note, the food on both days was put together sloppily and I would bet money it had been "holding" for FAR too long based on the condition of the buns. I don't think they are cycling their...
Read moreSpent close to 40 dollars being that I had close to a 12 hr day and so needed to get something quick for dinner being kids were hungry as it was getting late for dinner. It was dark and the drive thru was very busy so when I received order I took a quick glance into the two bags and all seemed there. So drove home. Well of course they left one if the sandwiches out and so had to give my food up so that there wasnt one kid with nothing. Very annoyed I proceeded to drive all the way back. Calmly I stated my issue and my annoyance to the manager and she was not only very apologetic but immediately asked what it would take to make me happy. I if course wanted the missing item and then she offered for my inconvenience and lost time of relaxation after such long day a full meal on credit and sent me home with 3 lies for the kids. So although they probably should of gotten it right to begin with. They were very busy and after all are only human. But the fact that they wanted to make it right in all aspects, not just the missing item but for my time and inconvenience also makes me want to go back. If they hadnt done what they did I would not given them any kind words and in all actuality want to give 5 stars for their actions to make up for the mistake but am still slightly torn being that a drive thru order should be given the...
