Pita Place — Restaurant in Alaska

What is there to say about this local treasure that hasn't been said before. The food is top notch. Literally my favorite spot in Fairbanks. The outside seating area is cozy. The staff is always smiling. The owner is a class act.

Today, I arrived on my bicycle, happy that I was in the area while they were open (their hours of operation are my only complaint). I got a veggie falafel and a soda. The owner was kind enough to give me my soda for free because I rode a bike to his shop. That simple 2 dollar soda was the gesture today that made my day. Best food in Fairbanks. Worked here for many years and I can attest to the attention to detail and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Vegan and vegetarian options, gluten free options as well. Always fresh veggies, local in the summer when they are available. The falafel is unrivaled in it's flavor, I can't give away the secret mixture to the falafel but a lot of thought was put into it. Pita place has been my jam for years and for a good reason. The falafel is the best I’ve ever had, and the whole pita falafel is flavorful and amazing. The veggies are seasoned, the falafel is top notch, and the Turkish coffee is also perfect.
