I frequent both locations quite often , order the same bowl everytime. Your midtown location has customer service down but just about every time I go to your south location, I’m met with awful customer service and it appears other customers feel the same, which I’ve yet to see a response to. I called your south location three times today to hopefully place a pickup order and it just rang. Finally I called midtown and asked if the south location was open today, to which she told me your employees are instructed to prioritize in house customers first before answering the phone. Okay, reasonable. I call a fourth time, and finally get through to place my order. They let me know it’ll be ready in 7 minutes, I get there, I’m the ONLY customer, and there are three girls sitting down in the back not working, but gossiping. One girl comes out and rings me up, once I pay she immediately goes back into the kitchen area and continues chatting, beginning with “anyways”, as if I’m an inconvenience to her story telling. I had to use the restroom before I left so I went back to use it, and upon exiting I got an ear full of curse words. All I’m saying is, 1. They didn’t appear to be slammed, I’m sure one of your three employees could have answered my call the first time, and 2. Please make sure your employees are properly trained on customer service. Had I had my children with me I would’ve said something. I first called at 10:48am, if you’d like to do your own due diligence to see if they really did have customers or were prioritizing their conversation over working. I will not support a business that does not take pride in their customer...
Read moreWe were specifically looking for a great, healthy smoothie for lunch.
In our Google search we found this business with the name, "pure and pressed juice" and assumed the product would be healthy and reasonably organic.
We drove out of our way, to find "Pure & Pressed Juice co." We sat on the provided bench for 20 minutes, in an empty restaurant, waiting for our $8 power smoothie and $13 acía bowl.
Eventually, I got off the bench to see what the delay was; that was when I saw that Skippy peanut butter was being used in both the power smoothie and the acía bowl. I was shocked to find a commercially produced peanut butter (with hydroginated fats and added sugar) added to my "pure & pressed" product.
Knowledgeable, health conscious consumers, never consider "Skippy" peanut butter as a "pure," natural peanut butter, in any sense of the word. That being said, my for year old son, prefers "Skippy"
I asked the staff about using "Skippy." I was told, the owner polled; asking which peanut butter they prefered, they preferred "Skippy,"
If I was ordering a smoothie from Walmart, I would expect Skippy and Hershey syrup, in my "smoothie" for $5, vs $8 at "Pure & Pressed"
I have been looking for a great, locally owned smoothie shop, to be my go-to smoothie shop. It appears, I must continue to...
Read moreI’m really glad to see this place in Anchorage! I had a great experience on my first visit. I sampled their avocado toast, which was simply seasoned with “everything” bagel topping & lemon, and came on deliciously hearty, thick, multigrain bread. I also tried one of their smoothies, the Cacao Chaser, and it was awesome! You could totally taste the almond, banana, and chocolate; all three of those harmonious flavors were perfectly balanced. This might sound far-fetched, but I found it as delicious as a chocolate malt, and yet it was actually surprisingly healthy! Such a tasty way to get some protein, vitamins, and healthy fats in your diet. The service was kind and patient; I did not feel rushed, even though I took my time poring over their menu (it all sounded so good!). And although it was made to order, the food & drink both came out in a timely manner. Next time you need a little boost or want to treat yourself without sacrificing nutrition, give Pure &...
