I had one (extremely rude) encounter with the (former?) owner/operator Jim about 20 years ago and have avoided this place since. Driving by at dinner time, I suggested it to the wife without mentioning my previous experience, willing to let bygones be bygones.
The food was mediocre. I had the "Super" Bacon burger, wife had fish and chips and the kiddo had the kids chicken nuggets combo. I asked the wife for three words to describe it. She said greasy, basic, unappealing.
My burger had a tomato slice so thin I didn't know it was on the burger until I opened it up to see where the sauce was. Burger was dry and flavorless. They say they grind their hamburger fresh in-house, but I've had better frozen burger patties.
The fries, fish and nuggets literally dripped grease and soaked through the wax paper they were placed in.
Prices are very high for the quality of the food. I could have paid an extra $10 to sit down at a casual dining place like Chile's or Red Robin. I felt nickel and dimed by this place.
The service was basically nonexistent, although one of the two employees did offer a friendly, genuine greeting when we entered. We waited more than 20 minutes to receive our order.
The kid handing out food had a blank, checked out demeanor and responded very slowly to requests for the drinks we ordered. Although I ordered some ranch and was assured of the inclusion of tartar sauce with the fish, I received neither and was insistently informed I had to pay (again) for them.
Tables sat uncleaned for the duration of our visit, requiring us to clean one ourselves. There were no napkins offered or provided so we used paper towels from the men's room. There was not a mask in sight on employees, though the 2 other groups of people that visited maintained a safe distance.
The men's room smelled though did not look outright unclean. Wife did not comment on the women's room.
Alongside all that, I did like the general look and feel of the interior. It's nicely done, if spartan and plain. It had an inviting sense. I gave it a whole extra star for the arcade cabinets and pinball table. I liked that quite a bit.
I can't recommend Wee B's for the food or service. They do also have ice cream and shakes, and those might be good of if you're willing to wait. If you like retro gaming / arcade games, there's Pacman and Galaga with Simpsons pinball (although pinball is currently out of order), so maybe...
Read moreFirst, I had not ate at Weebees for the past year as I have been on a diet, before that Weebees was one of main spots and had been for way over a decade. Second, folks if you work at a fast food place, try to get orders that are up out instead of taking 4 or 5 more orders, the food just gets cold. I watched two employees actually go by my food several times. I would have said something but I was like 5 guests back. Third OMG french fires -first time I have ever had what most of been the bottom layer, the fries weren't the fries I told everyone about in years past, skinny, about 1/2 to 7/8 long. Like crumbs. Who ever dished them up should have tossed them. Sad to say McDonald french fries looked better. Fourth Burger was between cold and warm. Typically we complain and ask for an order to be fixed, but the two employees working the line from watching them didn't seem to care about anything so we just wanted to get out of there. I considered Weebees in the top three along with Club Paris and Road Runners. Now Weebees is just below Arby's. (I know Arbys does not have burgers but that as low as I can rate them. Why three stars instead of one? Because Weebees has a long history of being at the top and I am hoping this visit was just a fluke. No five star place would allow a guest to go through a visit like that even once in a year. I ate at carls Jr the next day - LOL a place never go. I have to say the Carls JR on Abbot , in Fred Meyers parking lot was right on target! One of the reason I had to go on a diet is cause I gained over 60 pounds because of my love affair with burgers (an other food!), but I am back now. apologies for spilling and krammer errors...
Read moreWhen I walked in, there was a shouting match going on between some customers and the staff. Then another guy asked for a refund then left. Then a staff member from the back walked over to a family eating and took all their food away while they were eating it. A shouting match then ensued between this staff member and the family. The family was asking for a refund if they weren't able to eat their food and the staff member declined. I don't know why it was taken, but I did hear someone in the family yell "YOURE TAKING OUR FOOD BECAUSE WE'RE NATIVE?". I don't know if that's true, but yikes. There was no manager on site and none of the staff members would give up any contact info for management when asked repeatedly. I don't know what started all this before I walked in but it was crazy. We ordered just 2 cheeseburgers and waited 46 minutes. The food was alright I guess. Also, while we were waiting for our food, one of the staff members yelled "I QUIT" and walked out, only to return half an hour later. It should be noted that there were only two tables seated when we walked in and 2 cars in the drive through, and it still took 46 minutes to get 2 burgers. I chose not to complain to any of the employees because it seemed like they were all ready to reach over the counter and punch someone. Like I said, I don't know what happened before I walked in but all I know is the employees were very not nice and unprofessional to all the customers,...
