King's Deli — Restaurant in Albany

May 25, 2018 First of all the phone is always busy and I thought it was due to being busy and all, NO. I called them trying to place a to go order and the phone was busy. When I got there no one was on the phone so it was my turn to order I took my cell phone dialed the business number and put it on speaker and told the cashier that the phone is off the hook and put my speaker food on so she can’t deny it, so apparently they tale the phone off the hook to avoid taking to go orders. I called them at least 15 times during the course of my 20 drive to the restaurant. Then I tell them the phone off the hook they just looks at me. They didn’t apologize or even come up with some lame ass excuse!!!! Then I noticed they was having issues with the credit card machine ( as usual) so I asked before I ordered. The cook was like “yeah it’s tripping right now” I turned around and walk way. Went down the street to Good Times. I received better service, good food at a cheaper price! I supported Kings Diner for a long time, 2 years or more but they’ve lost my business permanently. The food is good but the service is horrible so that makes it all NOT WORTH IT! Even the cashier at Good Times said verbatim “ The service at Kings Diner is horrible”. I personally think the owner or management need to fire all those ghetto hood rats and get New help. This is my husband hometown we were visiting family yesterday and came back to where he use to go to eat which was here at this place.We ordered lemon pepper wings and garlic Parmesan wings,man the wings were tiny,old,smelled like they were old soaked in grease or something.I was afraid it would make me sick or get poisoned.The Chinese lady at the window made a sarcastic remark to my husband and little did she know who she was dealing with.I cursed her out at the window and gotten out my car cos I bucked.She did realize she was wrong apologized and gave him the order respectfully afterwards and abliged with thank you sir.Establishment looked poorly from outside as if abandoned.Black people use to own it he says don't know what happened.But you have to be careful how you talk to people not everyone is quite and she learned that quickly by my reaction!We ended up throwing the food in the garbage and went somewhere else to eat before heading back to FLA/Alabama where we have southern...

Very ghetto staff. You can’t even understand them when they answer the phone. No hello, no friendly tone. They cut you off when you’re speaking. You ask if they have something and they just say “no”, they don’t offer a suggestion or tell you what they do have. I stopped coming for almost a year because of this and I don’t even know why I attempted to try them again like anything changed. It’s like they pick employees up off a street corner and get the most uneducated, I’ll mannered people they can possibly find, and give them jobs.

The only positive is that their fries are always hot, fresh and tasty. The Philly is also decent considering it’s not an actual cheesesteak from Philly. I haven’t tried any of their other food to know how it tastes but this is essentially a “dive” restaurant. Don’t...
