As a retired long haul truck driver of 36 years I have eaten Mexican food in at least 40 states.this was my first time eating here. Sad to say but it shall be my last. I shall now give my explanation of what I feel was wrong. The chips were hard and seemed to be stale. The salsa was merely a reddish color containing some small bits and pcs of spices and so forth, yet with virtually no flavor. As they say merely bland. The beans bland, the rice bland, chili Reno bland the enchilada bland. I am saying no matter what I put in my mouth it all tastes the same more or less. The water even seemed to be dull or bitter. The worst thing is afterwards my wife who shares my opinion 100% and I both afterwards, have noticed that everything we have eaten and drank sense we left just doesn’t seem to taste right? I do not like to be negative at all especially regarding an eatery or restaurant any time! This is a highly competitive market and difficult to survive in. My personal opinion having worked in restaurants growing up then attending military school where I held the title of Mess Sargent:meaning I was the ranking cadets over the dining facility in ordering food and supplies with supervision is that the brand, quality, ingredients are lacking. I wish them well and great success! I suggest that the best direction for improving the situation is to contact other Mexican restaurants such as Guadalajara in south Huntsville on the parkway. As perhaps a possible helpful resource for asking questions and getting assistance. It’s two different cities so not really a lot of competition. But all they could say is yes or no. Again I hope to be proven wrong and find myself standing outside in line in the future! Good...
Read moreRey is a great owner. Staff is very diligent and super friendly. Reys sister, Lucy, is the Sweet lady at Giovannis in Oneonta that told us about Ruby's. The family that we have met are very good at what they do. If you want a quick lunch that will make you stuffed, Definetly come to Ruby's or Giovannis(Oneonta,Al). You won't leave either restaurant displeased, well, unless you're just an annoying POS that is just a complete pain in the ass to everyone, then you may leave dissatisfied. But if you are, no one really cares about your ass anyways ;) Come to Ruby's and grab you some great Mexican food, awesome appetizers and throw in a few( or several) shots of Jack and you won't leave hungry. Go to Giovannis and get you a huge plate of stuffed flounder, nicely fried shrooms( don't serve alcohol unfortunately) and you won't be hungry afterwards there either. Till the next...
Read moreGot the buffet. $ 7.99. Pretty good. Rice beans enchiladas taco fixings fajitas chicken dishes. Chips and salsa. I liked it was buffet. I liked they are open on sunday. Alot in albertville and guntersville are not open sundays so this was awesome they were open. Kept well stocked even when buffet time was almost over. Small but pretty good choices and tasty. I like the fact they are buffet. You don't see this often for mex. Food so i was 😁 excited. Could use a update on atmosphere. Looks a little rough. Bathrooms need to be cleaned thoroughly. But i would go back. Get rid of the broken fountain. And make a bigger buffet selection. I think u have an untapped potential. Good. Could be...
