I was craving sushi and my go-to restaurant is closed on Mondays. :(. So I was going to a nearby Sushi King to satisfy my fix. But before I walked in, I saw a banner across the street from where I was going...A new place? I'm always up for trying something new. So I thought I'd try them out. SO glad I did!!!
First off, the place is small but so very inviting. The staff is so friendly and attentive. So clean! We dined just after the lunch rush. I had my mind made up of what I was craving & what I'd order, but I saw their specialty sushi rolls and I changed it up a bit. What I was served was absolute perfection!!! This has now become my new fav sushi restaurant!
My husband tried the sweet and sour shrimp Bento box and there was so much food! And it was all delicious! The sweet/sour sauce was light, not heavy, and accented the shrimp perfectly. The egg drop soup my husband had was amazing (actually had a flavor besides egg) and my miso soup was some of the most flavorful I've had since Southern California.
Overall, our lunch experience today (food/service/environment) was great! I'm thinking we're gonna be going back...

I had a Philly Roll, the Yellow Tiger Roll (yellowtail, avocado, and cucumber wrapped inside with crab stuck with masago on top) for $15.25, and two-piece unagi (listed as eel on the menu).
The unagi pieces were the smallest I’ve had before. I’m not sure if they were the end of the eel or if the pieces are always so miniature at Bento Sushi.
The Philly and Yellow Tiger Rolls weren’t particularly memorable. They weren’t bad, but weren’t anything I’d crave and were very bland. The presentation looked good, but the taste...

However, the service was wonderful and waiter was attentive. The sushi presentation was beautiful and menu variety is great. One item I got was the sushi dinner bento box ($22) which came with 8 nigiris (salmon, yellowtail, and tuna). The other one was the King Dragon Roll ($17.25). Both were delicious and seasoned well. The total came out to almost $50 with tip for 2 people. Which is kind of a lot compared to other places I’ve been in abq, but it’s worth a try if you’ve never...
