Before explaining why this establishment only deserves 1 star, let me say, it breaks my heart because the "taco burger" has been one of my favorites for many years. However, today all the taco burgers had a chemical taste, like someone put it in a dirty mop bucket. Unfortunately my adult children, as well as my grandchildren ingested a few bites of this contaminated food. When I realized we had been poisoned, I immediately called the restaurant in an effort to prevent more people from getting sick. The manager said that they were aware of the problem, and the owner was onsite trying to "fix" the problem. I asked to speak to the owner, but she said it was no use, and that unless I had my receipt, (which I did) that she couldn't be sure if I had actually made a purchase. I went back and asked to speak to the owner, who was willing to acknowledge that they had received numerous complaints about this batch of chili, but said it wasn't contaminated, "just poorly prepared". I've spent a lifetime preparing food professionally, It wasn't "burnt" or "poorly prepared" or even spoiled, It was contaminated, and they knew what the contamination was, but would not share that information that endangered my family. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I will never eat at this place again. This one location is destroying the reputation of Bobs Burgers. Really Gross. Too bad the nastiest restaurant in the chain is in my neighborhood. Oh well, there are much better...
Read moreMy family and I have been eating at Bob's for years now, we love their taco burgers. We've been going to this location since it opened. We always order the chili on the side or they tend to drench our taco burgers. The taco burgers are hit and miss at this location, sometimes they taste like old grease and old shells, other times they are fine. We almost always wait 10-20 minutes for our food, even at the drive through. Majority of the employees are unprofessional and unfriendly (with the exception of Kameron and a couple others). We've ordered beef taquitos several times at this location that tasted unusual. Mainly they tasted like old grease. A few days ago they tasted as if they were fried in chemicals. They did not taste edible. We informed two different managers about this. The first was not helpful or concerned whatsoever. The other one gave us the option of a refund or remaking our food, however she did not seem concerned about the source of the problem. After looking at the reviews we saw that about 9 months ago they had many complaints about this exact problem. Clearly, it is not being handled properly and we feel as if they are serving food that could put others in danger. We enjoy Bob's when it is made well and would love to support this local business, but with how this issue was handled I don't think we will be back...
Read moreThe staff at this place is horrible; not worth the convenience of it being on the east side. The restaurant was completely dead when we went. The drive thru girl Shawntal bizarrely laughed, and talked to others in the background the entire time she took our order. At the window she started saying the f word as she was puzzled by the register then she took our credit card walked away and never came back! 10 minutes later the assistant manager came back and asked what we ordered. When we tried to get Shawntal's name to complain, she refused and then tried to throw away the receipt. Because our card was out of our sight for a long time we ask for the receipt and then realized why she try to throw it away because the girls name is on it. All she needed to do what's try to resolve the issue, hence the title assistant manager, instead of becoming weirdly defensive. However, she too is ill-equipped and could care less because she shared the same poor attitude her giggly friend did. This is a bit of a rant but it was truly a terrible experience and this is me trying to prevent it from happening to anybody else. Avoid the hassle, drive a bit further, and...
