Cancun Splash Car Wash — Local services in Albuquerque

I have been coming here since I was a teenager, about 10 years. The passed two years, it has been absolutely filthy, trash and filled to the brim and overflowing. My younger sibling made a mess in my car lately and so I went to clean it. I took my own trash bag, and cleaning supplies (because if I didn’t, literally trash would go everywhere with how full it always is) and went to clean and vacuum my car. I put all the cleaning towels I used to clean in the trash bag and put the trash bag near the already full trash can.

The man, who I presume is the owner, came up to me yelling at me about the trash bag and accusing me because “people have been illegal dumping”. I specifically used this facility to clean my car, which is the intended use of any car wash. I also brought my own stuff so as not to litter and further trash this man’s facility. Being berated because other people are dumping trash when I used the car wash as prescribed is uncool and unprofessional! Would you rather me leave crap all over the place? “Illegal” implies that I didn’t pay to use your facility where trash is a part, which I did!

Absolutely horrendous. Yell at the people who leave crap everywhere, not people who use your facilities correctly. Never will...

Spectacular car wash!

I come here around once a week to clean my vehicles and this is by far the best self service car wash in all of ABQ.

I met the owner once, I believe his name is Mark, and he told me about the chemicals he uses and it’s obvious he has pride in his establishment. Yes the chemicals are top tier and it shows.

Great pressure from the wands and the brushes are soft. The chemical to water ratio is extremely generous, unlike some other places where sometimes you can’t even tell there’s soap in the water.

What I like a lot is the counter goes up for debit/credit card use. Which is intuitive. I can’t wash my car in six/twelve minutes and hate having to periodically purchase more time. Just charge me for the time I need and this place does it. The rate is fantastic. I can do a 25 min wash (which I can wash my small truck without being rushed and take my time) for around $10. Thats a great value considering everything I mentioned above.

I will go no where else to wash my cars and you shouldn’t hesitate to wash your car here.

This car wash costs significantly more than the other self serve car washes, so when the wash time seemed longer, I thought, okay, we pay more and we get a longer wash period. Actually, no, the time was shorter than the other car washes we've gone to, but this was the first time I used a credit card instead of coins, and the timer reaches the end of a VERY short cycle and then counts up, continuing to charge your card until you manually stop it. I get that now. Our credit card transactions showed a charge of 10.00, when we usually pay around 2.00 to wash, rinse, and soft water rinse our car, but the initial wash time was very short, so I didn't catch onto how the charge works! The initial time is too short to wash, high pressure rinse, and soft water rinse the car.

UPDATE NOTE: After I posted a 1 star review initially that charge changed to 3.50, so that's a plus. Be very careful if you choose to use a credit card here. I will say that the car wash is clean and...
