Let me get right to it! The place gets two stars. There’s a TLDR at the end so you don’t have to read the whole thing! Here is some detailed feedback for the owners of this place, from business owner to business owner I truly hope it helps. The first time we visited Brekki Brekki it was a 45min wait with limited parking. We expected the wait time and made the best out of it on their cute patio. The food and service made it worth the wait! After talking this place up to all my friends and family, we excitedly went this morning to celebrate early Father’s Day for the hubby, and we had a terrible experience unfortunately. We ordered the chilaquiles, I got that the last time and was super excited to have it again. Today the chile was so extremely hot that my son and I could not get through even 10% of the plate, all we ate were the two eggs on top because those were not smothered in chile (keep in mind we are native New Mexicans and can easily eat med-hot chile, even our little one likes hot chile). Because this meal was supposed to feed both my son and myself, I cringingly made the decision to return the plate and ask for another dish with no chile. This is the ONLY restaurant in my history of eating out where I’ve had to return a dish TWICE! (We had to on the first visit because the waitress gave an incorrect description of the meal, she apologized and expressed she was new, and the manager kindly brought out the correct dish and apologized it was all handled well. TODAY it was a completely differed crew of people. The waitress seemed annoyed that I was returning the plate but you can tell she was trying to hold it together. After returning the dish, the waitress came to inform us that the manager was not going to comp the dish because we ate half of it, ehem dramatic much? It was obvious we ate the 2 eggs and barely 5 chips, the plate was still full and the waitress agreed with us that we didn’t even get near half the plate. I told her that it seemed like poor management to be charging us for the plate and then again for another plate. I did not trust getting another plate out of fear of retaliation due to the distaste both the manager and the waitress seemed to have about us returning it. My poor toddler had to wait to get back home so I could cook for him. All I could think was how this was a missed opportunity for the manager to turn our experience around and show us how great their food can be! My husband was trying to finish the meal but he couldn’t get through it. I asked him if he enjoyed it, and all he could say as he’s trying to cool down his mouth with water was “I won’t be coming back here again”. We are going to have to redo his Father’s Day outing but that’s okay, thank goodness we are in NM where we have a lot of great food options! At the end I decided to speak to the manager directly in hopes that he could back track, apologize for our experience and gain trust again. Unfortunately he was very closed off to my feedback and was short with me and it occurred to me that he does not have experience or proper training in management/customer service nor does he seem to care about this establishment. As a small business owner myself, I would have been very appreciative for someone to care enough to pull me aside and say hey here are some things that went wrong for us today. TLDR - Food is inconsistent, today it was not good at all, and the coffee was gross/weak, service and food was good the first visit but was completely the opposite experience today. Nice ambience but not worth the food or service experience. Use your hard earned money...
Read moreLet me just start off saying the gentlemen who I assume to be the owner was very polite and helpful. So was majority of the staff, they all held doors open and were attentive. I unfortunately made the mistake of agreeing to sit on the patio, only because my friend and children were very hungry and we still had 4 groups to be sat ahead of us with only 5-10 more minutes of our quoted wait time left. (I work in the restaurant industry and I knew by how busy it was that we definitely weren't quoted a correct time to be sat indoors with in 5-10 minutes we had left) The patio is not ideal, yes there are heaters and it's covered but still very cold for children. Which in return our food got cold very quickly. Onto the quality of service. The young lady serving us was nice to an extent we could tell she was annoyed with us with certain requests we made we also could see and over hear her giving a better quality of service to the tables next to us. We originally asked to move into the middle row of the patio to be surrounded by heaters and instead of her saying yes no problem let me clean that for you just give me a moment, she said ummmm ya we could if you want with an annoyed look on her face mind you I asked this immediately before she put our drinks down for it to not be a complete inconvenience. I changed my mind due to how she acted. When ordering our food my friend ordered first then my son wanted to do a build your own burger she said is that on the menu I responded with I dont think so, and she proceeded to say then no I don't think we can do that . All she had to do was suggest that we do a different burger and make modifications instead I was the one to suggest that. My son also wanted just one pancake she again told me no we don't have that. Which they do under the kids menu. She made herself look unknowledgeable of the menu which was already clear to me. Me being a server I know there is always a way to change orders all she had to do was make the suggestions. My daughter ordered the children's pancake (which is obviously a crepe that they just say is a pancake) with a side of bacon and eggs. After my daughter ordered the waitress said ok is that all and I hadnt even ordered my food yet. She also didn't ask how my daughter wanted her eggs cooked but I also forgot to say which was my fault but they came out she didn't like them due too being too gooie which is again my fault for not asking them to be well done I asked for them to be cooked a little longer she said no problem and they came back out right away unfortunately with a hair on them. At this point I was so over the whole experience. The music was way too loud on the patio and not connected properly so it was choppy for a solid 5 minutes and beyond annoying. She did hope we had a great day and hopefully better experience next time I said I hope we do too as nicely as I could I let her know about the hair she offered to get it taken off the ticket but again at that point I wasn't going to ask anything else of her, she was clearly busy which is normal for a Sunday brunch time but I'm willing to give this place a second go around but definitely without children and inside seemed like a much better ambiance. Oh ya I got the crab cake Benny which was delicious! I highly...

When you walk into a restaurant and the first thing you notice is a line that spills out the door, you know you’re in for something special. This new local gem is the talk of the town, and for good reason. While many trendy spots focus on style over substance, this place effortlessly nails both. The décor is chic yet inviting, combining Instagram-worthy aesthetics with a welcoming vibe that sets the tone for an unforgettable meal. But don’t let the design distract you—the real magic happens on the plate.
Trendy but Grounded in Flavors
Despite the buzz and long weekend waits, the food here surpasses the hype, proving it’s more than just a pretty face in the local dining scene. For our large party, the covered and heated outdoor seating area was a godsend—spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed for year-round enjoyment. The staff handled the group with ease, bringing an attentive energy that elevated the entire experience.
As for the menu? A masterpiece of modern brunching. Every dish is crafted with an attention to detail that borders on obsessive (in the best way possible). The Eggs Benedict, for instance, deserves its own standing ovation. The brisket bennys are, quite simply, the stuff of foodie legend. Tender, smoky brisket topped with a perfectly poached egg and smothered in a silky hollandaise sauce—each bite is a symphony of flavors that lingers long after the plate is cleared. It’s no exaggeration to say it might just be the best Benedict in the state.
A Small Quirk, but a Big Win
Now, no place is without its quirks, and this spot is no exception. My original plan was to dive into their Breakfast Burger, a mouthwatering creation I’d heard rave reviews about. But as fate would have it, the burger isn’t available until lunchtime—a curious policy that initially left me puzzled. However, every cloud has a silver lining, and this minor inconvenience led me straight to the brisket bennys. If I’m honest, I can’t even be mad about it—it felt like a happy accident that turned into a highlight of the meal.
A Must-Visit for All
From the creative brunch options to the vibrant atmosphere, this restaurant strikes a perfect balance between trendy and authentic. It’s a place that locals will flock to and visitors will wish they could take home. Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely breakfast with friends or a decadent solo brunch, this spot is a must-visit.
Pro tip: Plan ahead and prepare for a wait—it’s worth every second. Once you’re seated and savoring a bite of the brisket bennys or their other standout dishes, you’ll understand why this place has quickly become a local...
