A bad service from a staff can really create a bad atmosphere. While this chopotle sits just across the UNM campus, i don't think it justifies charging people more. I have always got the same meal from chipotle, for the past 5yrs, which is bowl of rice, beans, fajitas, steak, hot sauce, corn and guac (of which they put the most ridiculous small amount of guac at this very location but not at the others) and my bill always comes out to not more then $13 + tax, even till this day; However, this very location is the only location i pay more than that. I had to ask one of the girls, working here, why their price is always high and her response was "your receipt is in the bag, look at it." Now, if you live around this area, taking a drive to Louisiana & Menual or any other Chipotle location might be a hassle, but at this point, with the price, the non-friendly attitude of some of their staff, am taking my purchase elsewhere where i get more quality for less price. Don't even get me starter with contaminated water under the food pan, dropping into the food when making transfer from pan to pan which i witnessed. I had to avoid that rice being contaminated before my very eyes. Edit: Response to Chipotle's response to my review. Chipotle should be the one reaching out to the customers (especially the ones who lay down complaint or gave concerning review) not the customer reaching out to Chipotle. That's how it works. Clearly this company lacks adequate and proper...
Read moreThe Food: The food was average. It had a nice flavor. I rarely eat here as I know better options for the price range. The Service: If the service had been better I would have given it a better score (probably four stars). Although the staff was not overtly rude, they were lazy and inattentive. I started giving my order and the guy behind the counter went through about halfway of making my order before starting helping the next person in line. The guy at the register took my payment before I the burrito was finished being made. Even with at least five people behind the counter I still had to wait for my burrito to be finished. There was a small incident at the store when I was there. A man came in and was told they were out of the Carne Asada meat. The man was very annoyed because he had been at that same location earlier and was told they hadn't made any yet for the day. He was visibly annoyed and asked for the name of the manager. I can understand his frustration as the location wasn't supposed to close for at least another hour and a half and it wouldn't have been to extreme for them to prepare more of the meat requested. They workers seemed to laugh at the expense of the man after he left. They didn't seem...
Read moreService was good, staff was friendly and nice. Now for the food it was just nasty. I'm sorry I don't know how people eat this. First the queso is disgusting. It wasn't that hot but even if it was hot it is flavorless and bland, worse queso I've ever had and I'm a queso lady. I love love LOVE queso. I make better Blanco queso at home than this. I literally got a large thinking it would be good because I seen good reviews, worse mistake this queso is going in the trash. Second it was 7 this location don't close until 10. All the food was cold, nothing was hot at all. They also didn't want to make anymore watermelons limeade. The lettuce don't taste like it was washed. Just overall nasty. I paid 25 dollars and took one bite of queso and a couple bites of my burrito bowl before I put my fork down to write this review. That's how nasty and disappointing this food it, that I could stop eating just to write a review. I'm sorry I will no longer go to chipotle, I'm not sure how they are as popular as they are but this food it nasty. I don't care how healthy they may seem, the only good thing they have is the corn salsa other than that chipotle should not be...
