Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Albuquerque

This is the last time I buy anything here.

The last time I dropped in the staff had vulgar rap music blaring in the back.

I walked in to the N-word, among other things profanities, and waited several minutes for the staff members to come out to help.

I let them know that the music was wildly inappropriate and the manager on duty argued with me that it was in a different language.

It was not.

I took my food, left and decided not to go back for a while. It's been a few months since that incident and I returned today.

Surprise, surprise nothing is better. The customer before me ordered a Nova lox bagel and the staff just must not change out their knives because my bagel had some gross, reddish, gooey stuff on the bread where it was sliced (upload of pic to come).

Cross contamination is a HUGE problem and it seems to be one that to one in this store cares about.

I went to let the staff know and stood there for a while while the two girls had their backs turned to the front counter and they were giggling at something on one or their phones.

I was willing to let go of the fact that while we ordered one girl talked over the other to get a bagel flavor while we were ordering, but this was...

Avoid I cannot stress enough how awful the staff is. First not a single employee acknowledged anyone there. They were talking amongst themselves and worrying about a catering order. The line was long and no one cared. When it was time to attempt to order I ordered a dozen bagels, made a point to say "I want to choose the bagels", which the employee acknowledged then proceeded to fill a box with whatever she wanted. When I said that isn't what I ordered and I just wanted to pick my own, she rolled her eyes, threw attitude and then began shoving what I said into the box while making annoyed sounds the whole time. The people around me waited even longer because they had the audacity to order food that needed to be cooked and the employees let them know just how annoyed they were. This place has never been smooth, the staff has never been pleasant (looking at you manager) but today was over the top. I felt like I was bothering them for asking for food to buy. Absolutely ridiculous. If this was a one-off thing, I could understand. I'd be annoyed but I'd get it. But this is every time I go. I won't go back. Get...

So we placed our order with a friendly young lady who was obviously new and needed some help entering a gift card. Her manager treated her like garbage while she rang it in then went to help another employee make the order (more on her in a sec). We get home and the order was wrong so I went back in (the green chile bagels are soup if they are not toasted). The girl that the manager helped make the order was standing at the counter on her phone. I let her know that the bagels were supposed to be toasted with cream cheese on the side and judging by the look on her face, I think she thought I said, "Your mother is a donkey-hooker." because she began a bagel cooking tantrum that was actually amusing. She threw her phone on the prep table, threw two bagels in the toaster oven, slammed the oven door (automatic toaster was broken), spooned cream cheese into the containers like she was fisting a mule, gets the stuff together and almost threw the bag over the counter at me.
