This place is currently open under the limited restrictions imposed by the state of New Mexico. They have established a seating arrangement that assures no customers are seated at a table in close proximity. The staff are serving wearing masks and gloves and they were quick to clear the tables vacated by customers. And they have a sanitation practice that made me feel comfortable. They also offer take out. I met a friend of mine for a late lunch. They offered a full menu. My friend was delayed so I was faced with a problem. I found myself reviewing the menu multiple times and changing my mind every time about what I was going to have. I have never had a bad meal here. I arrived thinking I was going to order a Green Chile Turkey pot pie. I normally would recommend it but Albuquerque was having a 90°F+ temperature. In the end I ordered a BLT sandwich. The sandwich was lavished supplied with bacon and each half a handful. I substituted a cup of Green Chile Cream of Chicken soup in lieu of the excellent sides also offered. The sandwich came with a pickle, a slice of cantaloupe, a strawberry and a slice of pineapple. No room today for any of their excellent selection of deserts. We enjoyed a fried zucchini appetizer. One of over six tempting choices. Families and gathering of friends were represented at other tables. And I heard more than one customer tell their companions that their meal was worth the trip. My friend had a sirloin steak cooked to order. He ordered a potato salad side dish. A side dish I have had before and easy to recommend. This establishment has been around for years. Try their menu and you will...

Went here with my family. This isn’t the type of food I was really looking for, but I’m glad we went. I had to try the Turkey and Green Chile Pot Pie, and I get why it is one of their most popular items. Pro tip: crack it open, stir it, and let it cool before you dig in. I did, and it was still piping hot when I finally took a bite. Worth the wait.

My niece got a sandwich with chips, and I stole a couple. No joke, I almost ordered some on the side. If you like thick-cut potato chips, get them. They’re awesome. My brother likes his fries extra crispy, so he treats the chips like that and eats them with ketchup. Not my move, but I get it.

I went back a couple of days later to try the Peanut Butter Pie. I liked it but didn’t love it. To be fair, I think I expected something different. It wasn’t bad at all, just not quite what I was hoping for. Don’t write it off until you try it yourself.

Based on how good everyone’s sandwiches looked and how amazing the chips were, I am really wanting to go back for the Reuben. I will update if I do.

As for the atmosphere, I’m giving it 5 stars. It’s not really my personal vibe, but they clearly put effort into it. Honestly, you can hang whatever you want on the walls if the food is good. Antique signs and all that?...

Our family found this restaurant on the way from TX to CO and boy weren't we lucky! I chose it b/c of the homestyle menu and that kids can eat for $1.99. I was sure hoping we wouldn't be disappointed and I'm so glad we weren't! The food was amazing and truly had a homemade flavor to it. While almost every restaurant purchases food from large suppliers like US Foods and Sysco, you'd never know it from your first bite to your last bite at this place! My husband ordered the chicken fried steak w/spinach and mashed potatoes on the side. For the first time in a long time, the spinach actually looked like spinach! It was perfectly steamed w/a delectable sauce! It was not some wilted glob of green from a can like most places. He even said the mashed potatoes were "real homemade mashed potatoes ". He kept talking about how everything tasted like his grandmother's cooking. Job well done Christy Mae's! My kids had the corn dogs w/banana bread on the side (super delish! - I snuck some of their banana bread) and I had the chicken pot pie w/side of cornbread (also super delish). You cannot go wrong w/anything here! This place was so amazing that we are re-routing our return trip home to be able to eat here again! Bring Christy...

When driving on San Pedro make sure you keep an eye out for Christy Mae's. You wouldn't want to miss this place! Upon entering this little restaurant you'll get the "Good Ol'Country" feel. As I sit with full view of the restaurant the environment all together is warm and comforting. The staff members are friendly. This is our first time here and when asking our wonderful waiter! (Yes I said wonderful!) He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and totally understanding that not all New Mexicans can handle thier spice. 😊 Thank you Ceasar for the great 1st experience! I ordered the Le Chicken Sandwich Very mild tasting, medium sized sandwich, They do have sides and I chose their Homemade chips. The chicken salad does have purple grapes and walnuts. It does enhance the flavor. 😊 My husband had the Guacamole Burger. And he said it was good lol! If the man say's it's good; then it's good. Lol

First time eating at Christy Mae’s yesterday and I can see why it’s been in business as long as it has. Very clean, very busy and very friendly staff despite how busy it was. I had the ā€œAlligator Pearā€ which was half an avocado served with Tuba or Chicken Salad on top all served on top of a green salad. It was delicious and I highly recommend it. All of the orders that I viewed when looking around all looked fresh and delicious with large portion sizes. Will definitely be coming back again sometime. Oh side note- easy parking in the back lot and the bathrooms are single stall, one for women and the other for men/women/handicap. Just a heads up, there could be a line.

The chicken pot pie was a pleasant surprise, it was worthwhile for what it is and prepared to a close to home level of quality. We were a group of 6, and all had various meals which were well portioned, very basic dishes done with straightforward presentation. Nothing fancy but all well prepared in good sized portions. šŸ‘ Our server was very pleasant and as I scanned the room the same could be said about every member of their staff within eyesight. This establishment is an easy recommendation when you want simple food in a clean and pleasant environment for mid level pricing assume $15 - $28 per head.
