El Palacio Imperial — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Being new to this restaurant, I asked some questions about the menu. They said that the Cantonese chicken was like orange chicken with more vegetables, which sounded good. When I got the food, it was nothing like that description. The sauce was way too salty, not even an orange chicken style sauce, and the chicken was not even breaded. This was a completely different dish. I'll give 2 stars for service because while they did lie to me then try to gaslight me into thinking they had described the dish accurately, they did replace my order. I went back and asked for a replacement and they talked me into trying their sweet and sour chicken instead, which was not much better unfortunately; frozen chicken nuggets, reheated, then tossed in sweet and sour sauce. The couple working were nice but not able to answer questions about food. The food was not good, especially for the prices. The frozen Chinese food from the grocery store tastes better. The white rice was questionable -spices, unclean? We ordered sweet and sour chicken and orange chicken. I hate having to report this! They are a sweet little family, and the server did her best. It was our first time there and we were excited. Went in around 4 o'clock in the afternoon on a Monday. There was only one other customer in their dining. A small cockroach crawled out of my fried rice and I just about died. And so I had to make sure to share.
