This review covers three interactions with this Church's. Mid summer 2017 we stopped for a bucket of chicken strips for a potluck. The strips were very dry and I regretted taking them to the potluck. 12/8/17 - Ordered a #2 Combo (3 mixed pieces). Ordered Original since there was a lot more Original in the tray than Spicy. I figured the pieces were likely newer, hadn't been sitting there. When I got them home, they were juicy and really enjoyable. Compliments to the cooks. The counter staff was very professional and customer-focused. 12/9/17 - Since I was single for the weekend (family funeral in Nebraska) and I really like fried chicken, I was back again. #2 Combo Spicy. When I got home, there were only two pieces in the box. I drove the ten minutes back to the store. The woman who waited on me explained that there was no white meat available when I ordered. So I only get 2 pieces? 3 dark pieces would have been fine. a young man standing next to the conversation grabbed the box with two pieces and threw it in the trash and got me another box with 3 pieces and a biscuit. I was only asking that another piece be added to the 1st box. Does that help the store revenue to throw perfectly good chicken away? The woman who made the mistake acted like I was really disturbing her day. The "Sorry" was really half-hearted. The chicken was cooked well, albeit the breast piece was a bit dry. A typical problem when cooking white meat and dark meat the same way. Dark meat was nice and juicy. As a former corporate quality assurance manager, I write reviews not for people wondering whether to eat here (excellently cooked chicken on the two recent trips) but rather for the management and staff. Read moreSecond time to this location well actually 3rd time but the second time I was not served because it would take 20 minutes to cook chicken strips and they said they closed in 45 minutes so Im assuming they already were shuting down while still opened. Bad service 1st time and yet again bad service. The crew are very rude. Manerger is very distracted on her phone both visits. We ordered at the drive Thur the dining room is always closed. They forgot to give us our mac n cheese again just like the first time. The manager was standing there on her phone while we tried to get her attention finally she came to the door. For the next 10 minutes the mac n cheese sat on the counter we could see it from the door while the manager was on her phone. We got tired of waiting for her to give it to us she knew we were there but still just would look up and then look back at her phone. Finally we just walked up to the drive thur window. They must of gave us the bottom of the barrel it was not good. The corn on the cob was smushy for lack of a better word had to be at least a day old or more im not sure but it was not freash, not good. Overall experience with this location is trash. My family will not be going back. Other locations here in Albuquerque are usually very good this one is just closest to my home. I knew we shouldn't have went back but thought they were just having a bad day the other times you know it happens. I reached out to corporate but it was obvious they do not care because they did not return my call. After spending close to $70 you would think you would get better quality food. Read moreQuite honestly the food was good. That's all I can say good about the experience. I've been here 3 times. Each and every time, the service was terrible. My first visit was a young man who you could barely hear him speak at the register when I asked him a question about the menu. Months later the third time we visited, I asked a question about a particular meal, and this same employee still had to ask the other shift manager in the kitchen for the answer. He was perhaps a very shy person but to a customer it appears as if he is not very engaged in his job. I hope he gets better and experiences success. The tables and Floors were dirty not just the one time after the lunch hour, but at the two other times which were not during a busy time. I had to ask for utensils and napkins two of the three visits. The drink area was in substantial disarray and not wiped each time. There are many repairs that need to be done in the very small dining area. I get it that the restaurant is more a drive-thru than a sit down location, in a busy intersection with not a lot of space for the building. I don't know what the services like through drive thru.
