Crackin Crab on the Westside, Albuquerque is our absolute favorite seafood boil spot! Went in with a party of 5 and placed a 4 seat table with an extra chair. Thought we would be ok but table bolted to wall. We order mild seasoning on 3 lbs of crablegs and 2 lbs headless shrimp, they realized they shorted us 1lb at the table when serving. The server went back to get it started. The group started eating and the spices for mild quickly became unbearable for several of us. Point of reference three of the family normally eat spicy foods and enjoy green chili. Turns out the seasoning is HEAVY with chili pepper. Server explained this is normal for mild and the fix is to add more butter. They offered to redo it but it comes back with almost as much pepper clumped on. We often eat at Down and Dirty Seafood Broil and never dealt with this. I bring this up that mild elsewhere such as D&D is not like this and get the well "we are different." I personally couldn't continue eating as my mouth was already burned, so walked around the corner for something I could stomach. I didn't want to disrupt everyone else dinner. Some of the others had to lemon and butter it up to continue. Their opinion -" Not bad with out skin dipped in butter and lemon helps wash off season." Maybe someone having an allergic reaction will get their attention to put things on the menu that have that level of chili spice. My disdain for the food aside, it's a clean building and the staff is very busy. (Took us almost 6 minutes to get their attention and that's after I stood up blocking the server walkway path). If we didn't have Rio Rancho residents and it was a late Friday night, it was suggested at the table of going elsewhere. Some of the options on the meals didn't make sense to me , 1lb of meat you get a potato (small) 2lbs you get a half ear of corn with the potato. Keep in mind we had 3lbs which got us a pace of sausage. There are better options other places. In honesty they noticed my departure and comped the 1lb of shrimp from the rest of the groups meal. I asked those who did stay if they would want to ever come back and for the price and the spice they said no.

First. The calimari.. I'm not a fan normally. Wish it was served with a different sauce like Louisiana remoulade but were pretty good crispy not chewy or gross. But more tiny pieces than rings. 2nd, Ordered1b black mussels 1lbsnow crab 1lb headless shrimp and a 1lbDungeness. Lemon pepper mild. Delivered in a large plastic bag...hands on no plates or utensils except. Crab crackers.. feast style. Not a super long wait either. Mussels were no good. They replaced it quickly with an alternative. Dungeness was very good quality. Shrimp also very good. Snow crab was meh. Was fairly spicy and incredibly greasy and I love butter. Needed some bread or something. Chicken strip basket for the boy who hates fish was excellent. 4 points for ambience..looks like every other place near here bare minimum. I will give our server 8 stars. He was attentive, patient and warmly engaging(without being annoying). Explained everything we asked. They were "out" of warm towlettes and I'm not sure why you need a hand washing station right next to bathroom but ok.for about 100 dollars 2 adults 1 child with 1 alcoholic drink it was a new experience. Glad we have something different. Hope they tweak it a bit and make it even better because they're in to something. Would try it again.

I was sat by young lady at 6:15pm with 3 other families placed at different tables by 630pm those other families already had their drinks and their appetizers. Finally after 15 minutes of absolutely no service, a waitress finally comes to my table and asks if we've been served. I replied "No". She proceeds to get our waiter who FINALLY comes to ask for our drink order. He offers Clamari on the house. I said thank you and proceeded to order. I ordered the family meal with 4 extra potatoes and 2 extra corns. The finally was brought to the table. I realized the it was a bit to spicy for my boys, so, i ordered therm each a 3 piece chicken strip meal. We began to eat for about 8 minutes or so. My phone rang, so I got up to wash my hands so I could call my husband back. My boys and I went to the bathroom together (since I wouldn't leave them alone at the table). I washed my hands and walked back to the table. I looked at our table a bit confused. All our food and was thrown and our table was spotless. The waiter gave me a $10 off the next time we go. I know for a fact they threw way more than $10 worth of food. They also brought me my ticket and nothing was even taken off it for their mistake in throwing all that food. I would love to visit again. But with the service we received today, it makes me think twice about going there. I sent you a Facebook message, you read it and totally...
