Don tortas — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Talk about amazing, and extremely delicious!!! I didn't know this place existed until we were working nearby and I was looking for something different to eat. The place looked dead and not busy, so I was scared to eat there. But we decided to take the risk and am so glad we did! The place is spotless and truly clean! And the food is spectacular! It took a good little while because it's made to order. I ordered without the beans, but they forgot and put them anyways, and I'm so glad they did because they were so good!!! They have so many choices of different Tortas, have desserts, aguas frescas, and kid friendly options. This is the first place that I've eaten at in a long time that I had to write a five-star review for, immediately after eating! Go try this place!!

Here is what you need to know

A torta is a Mexican sandwich. At this location, all the sandwiches come with mayonnaise on the top bread, onion, tomato, a small slice of avocado, your chosen fillings, and a smear of refried beans on the bottom bread.

Both the fries and the homemade chips have a seasoning on them sort of like garlic salt. All combo meals served with a grilled jalapeno.

Drinks are made in advance on ice like horchata, lime cucumber, pineapple mango, and watermelon. Or you can buy bottles of cola but these coke products were bottled in Mexico, not at the factory just one main street east of this restaurant.

It is fresh food and pretty clean, with nice staff. The bread is delicious. But do understand the Mexican roots mean "grilled pineapple" equals tidbits, not a slice, and "smoked pork" equals sort...

Absolutely exquisite taste, and wide variety of desserts. Definitely have to go a couple more times before I can even try everything I wanted to. Walking in there you feel the authenticity of a Mexican inspired restaurant. Not many places doing it like them in Albuquerque.
