A beautiful little restaurant with a smooth atmosphere. It is very clean and welcoming. We were sat down almost immediately and our waitress was very nice and informative.
The food here is spectacular. It is one of the few restaurants I've experienced where their advertised food actually looks like what you get served! The meat was juicy and moist, the seasonings and sides were plentiful. They do not skimp on ingredients here. You get a good amount of food for the price you pay.
We bought the bread and green onion appetizer (can't remember the name). It was amazing and fried with a glorious amount of butter. My husband and I shared the lamb and beef with rice combo. They brought out a lentil soup (amazing!) to start with, then our bread followed closely by our main dish. Everything was served with a good amount of time to taste all of it. With our main dish, they brought plenty of sides such as lime slices, yogurt, a packet of Mediterranean seasoning, and plenty of grilled vegetables (tomatoes and jalapenos). Everything was so flavorful!!! Our favs were the beef and lamb chops. We left completely satisfied and we will be back!
Also, we truly appreciate the appearance of the food. You can tell they truly care about their food.
Our only complaint? There isn't a location closer to us. We would spend a lot of money here if we didn't have to drive 45mins. (Not their fault, obviously). 10/10...
Read moreLet me start by saying that my waitress was on her first day and still training so I have accounted for that in this review and not held that against Kabob House.
I took a friend here for lunch last Monday and we both agreed we would not return. We chose to sit inside to avoid the midday heat but they did not have the AC/swamp cooler on. We were so miserable we could not enjoy the food even if we had thought highly of it.
I ordered a Diet Coke and got Sprite. When I brought this up to the person who appeared to be the manager she looked at the clear beverage in my cup and told me that is WAS Diet Coke. The waitress trainee had come back and apologized for mistaking our lunch order for dinner items and asking about side items. The manager, without prompting, told us that our server was training and apologized but then argued with me about Sprite vs Diet Coke.
I ordered an entree (I am not going to try to spell it because I will mess it up) with beef and chicken kabobs. The flavor was good and I enjoyed them and the roasted tomato that came in an oversized 'crepe.' However, my guest and I were sweating so bad we had to cut our meal short because he nearly passed out.
I would only consider Kabob House again during the winter when it is cool enough to be...
Read moreDuring lunch, I attempted to have lunch at the Kebab House. However; I faced discrimination there. I was wearing my digital camouflage jacket, and was asked to leave because "customers (middle eastern) were offended by my jacket". I've deployed more than my fair share to middle eastern countries, in doing so I've come to really enjoy the food. I've always liked visiting local restaurants whose owners might've faced adversity in their home country, migrated here and made America their home. I was extremely upset when this happened, I know that if I owned a business and asked someone who was of middle eastern decent to leave, there would've been so much backlash I would've probably had to shut my doors. Rest assured, I will be letting everyone that I know about this incident. Social media, local media, and of course word of mouth. The way I was treated, will not be tolerated, I would not tolerate treatment like this towards your establishment nor your people. I'd stand up for them. Hell, I've even fought for your people. All I wanted was some delicious food, instead, I was treated as if I...
