La Michoacana Premium — Restaurant in Albuquerque

They have a large menu with a lot to offer, but I found it so strange when my boyfriend and I walked in and the screens with the menu were turned off (we were there about 2 hours before closing time.) We had to ask them for a menu so we could order, and a worker turned the screens on so we could see the menu. Why not leave the menu screens on all day so customers could see them at all times? I ordered the Dubai chocolate strawberries and I was disappointed. The cup was loaded up with strawberries, but there was hardly any chocolate and pistachio cream. The little bit of chocolate and pistachio cream I was able to taste wasn’t very good. Also, they don’t mix the kataifi with the pistachio cream which I thought was odd. They only put a little bit of kataifi on top and it was very pale in color, not fried in butter like most people/places do. From A to Z this place is on point with it all, my girlfriend and I went in for a little late date and we were worried it would be shutting down because it was a little late but the owner greeted us right away and he was having us try all these different things and seeing what we would like, at the end we left with some lime and mango ice cream which was hella fresh and some pecan and watermelon agua Frescas that tasted like they were just made, to finish it off we had a takis con elote and they really do know how to make some of the best Mexican cultured goodies and treats! Best Michoacana I've been to. I go on a weekly basis. The aguas frescas taste authentic, super refreshing, not like the powdery ones you'll find at other Michoacanas. The ice creams are so good and flavors you'd never find any other place! I have yet to try the food, but all looks very good. The staff is friendly, especially the lady, I don't know her name, but she is always super sweet and kind.
