On a recommendation from a friend, we drove a bit farther than usual to try Naka (3 for dinner.) We ordered sushi for two and an entree' for the third, a glass of wine, and a couple of beers. The sushi was passable, if on the expensive side for middle-of-the-road fare. Waitstaff was friendly and good natured, but decidedly new. Sushi arrived and was eventually consumed... but no entree' ever came. When asked, they said it was just taking a little longer but was almost ready (it was obviously forgotten.) After about half an hour from the sushi, and bored sitting at an empty table, we eventually just asked for the check and said not to worry about the entree' (politely, with smiles, (not mad), just hungry, out of time, and didn't want to eat alone since everyone else had long been finished with dinner.) We didn't need anything for free, but sort of expected them to offer a dessert, comp a beer, or something after the mix up. No dice. Full bill. I tipped 20% and left hungry. It's a difficult time dor the service industry, and I wish them the very best, but I probably won't drive past other favorite spots to visit again (at least not while...
Read moreI had the absolute pleasure of dining at what I can only describe as the best hibachi place ever. From the moment we walked in, it was evident that we were in for an extraordinary experience. The first thing that caught our attention was the generous portion sizes, which truly exceeded our expectations.
But what truly set this place apart was the remarkable service. Chef Sam, our culinary artist for the evening, was nothing short of amazing. The precision and skill with which he prepared our meal were awe-inspiring. It wasn't just a meal; it was a theatrical performance right in front of our eyes. Sam's expert culinary talents left us in complete awe, and it's safe to say that we've never enjoyed a hibachi experience quite like this one.
And let's not forget about the impeccable service from our waitress, Maya. Her warmth, attentiveness, and knowledge of the menu added to the overall excellence of the evening. Everyone made sure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect, thank you again for the amazing diner...
Read moreThe waitress was nice and friendly, but that was the only good thing about our visit. To start off the miso soup was cold. We ordered 6 rolls, and they come out quickly. One bite and we were severely disappointed. The rice was over cooked and way too soft. When asked how everything was, we told them the rice was not good. She went to tell the cook and came back saying, "the person who made the rice made it wrong and the cook was aware of it". So they knew the rice was not right but served it to customers anyway. When the manager came over he told us a new person was learning to make rice and over cooked it. We asked why if he knew it was bad why did they use it. During our discussion he made a comment, that how they dealt with the bad rice was the Japanese way. It is most definitely is not the Japanese way. My wife is Japanese and worked in sushi restaurant, and I lived in Japan. While they did apologize and say they will take note of our comments, they wouldn't explain why they used rice they...
