The food was so good! And so was the service! My niece treated the six of us to food and drinks. She got lavender hard cider for herself and I got the banana strawberry smoothie. Both hit the spot! She ordered fried chicken strips and French fries, and a burger sliders’ sundae with French fries for the table. Everything was freshly cooked and exceptional. A few other drinks were ordered - a Shark attack and mango lemonade for the young ones. They were sweet! And refreshing! I wish I had taken photos. Everything looked as great as it tasted.

Lunch here is not just for Bio Park Aquarium visitors. The Shark Reef Cafe has spectacular cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My hamburger was seasoned to perfection and dressed beautifully with dill pickle boards, tomato slice and green leaf lettuce. The homemade chips we're a lovely addition to round out the plate. My partner had fish and chips (which he didn't share) he said we're crispy to perfection. Our compliments to the chef: the humble ginger we met on our way out. Oh, and you have to try the green sauce and cheese fries!

Always great fun at the Shark Reef cafe! It's a great place because the kids are more than entertained during lunch, but so are the adults! It's such a cool experience to "eat with the fishes" so to say! The food is pretty darn good too though it is not a cheap meal! You do not have to go to the aquarium to eat at the cafe and that is nice! It can make for a fun lunch date and some enrichment! Would make for a fun date too!!!!

This Is a really nice cafe for the kids since the aquarium is in view of the cafe. The food is also decent as well, fairly well seasoned and not outrageously priced.

However, the service here is abysmal at best. The staffing are all completely unattentive. When I was ordering at this fast casual cafe, I was talked over and interrupted by the other staff to ask the person who was serving me if they wanted to go home early.

The dining area, which has a large aquarium in it, is a great atmosphere, however we ended up cleaning our own table since several tables were left uncleaned in the space.

When I was picking up my order, I was ignored and had to announce my presence to the staff who are engaged in their own conversation. At which point, they pushed the tray of food over without eye contact or acknowledgment.

I’m frustrated because I paid tip for a severe lack of service. Being the aquarium and one of the few places in Albuquerque that could represent ourselves well to our visitor, the shark reef cafe falls extremely short.

This place has the potential to be more but unfortunately I will not be returning until the staffing has been...

Food and service have 1 star, but we never got either one.

We went for breakfast, Sunday at 9:30. We were the second to arrive. First up was a family of three. We were two. Orders made and paid at the walk-up. We got drinks and went to our tables. Our order was a plate of pancakes and a smothered burrito. The cashier walked by three times filling ice reserves in the dining room. At 50 minutes neither table received food. I walked to the counter and the three gals who helped us were having snacks. I told them about the food issues and they seemed surprised. So far no other people had come in. One said she'd check. A few minutes later we were told the printer in the kitchen wasn't working and the cooks never got the orders. We decided to ask for a refund and were told they couldn't do that and had to find a manager. Finally, both we and the first group were refunded and left. Moral of the story: careless and unattending workers, go to the aquarium but skip the cafe. (I forgot to add they assign a pager that would buzz when the food was ready, they should have noticed no one coming to...

Kitchen manager here is a joke, 99% of the problem. This place hires and refuses to fire the worst employees. Kitchen managers experience consists of twisters (that's it) and getting lucky. He is not capable of running a kitchen up to code. Heard from a first hand observer that there is mold in the walk in freezer, kitchen doesn't get cleaned properly, front of house staff have no people skills. Very dangerous! Doesn't deserve the 2.3 stars it has. Parents, think before buying food from a dirty kitchen. Food Bourne illness is a serious threat to a child/elderly persons health especially because their immune system is weak. As consumers we need to watch where we spend our money! If you just have to go to the bio park, do yourself a favor. Pack a lunch, have a picnic in the beautiful rose garden and enjoy good health and safe food. Thank me later, don't buy the food. Yours truly, I very...
