I have been to over 50 or so Japanese gardens and enjoy the calm/serenity they bring to your soul. This place is kind of sad & pathetic. I would describe it more as a Japanese inspired garden. I am not sure if the city has had to cut back on staffing or what, but there is a serious lack of maintenance at this garden. Furthermore, there's a whole host of other issues: over-planting, poor trimming of trees/ shrubs, weeds everywhere, and multiple water features not functioning. Some of the rock/ boulders were not placed properly and were scattered about in an artificial way. Lastly, the main waterfall feature looks like it was designed to be an amusement park ride.
