This review is for the San Felipe de Neri Gift Shop.
The gift shop is located just next to the beautiful San Felipe de Neri Church in the old town of Albuquerque. The store is a must visit if you are visiting Albuquerque, since the entrance to the San Felipe de Neri Church Museum is via the gift shop.
Although the size of the store looks small from the outside, inside the store there you can find various religious items, scapulars, crucifixes, souvenirs, church supplies, Pueblo as well as traditional religious artwork and many books from noted publishers such as TAN, Loreto, Preserving Catholic Publications, Ignatius, etc.
A few treasures we found at this store were "The Wondrous Childhood of the Most Holy Mother of God" by St. John Eudes, "A Commentary on The Book of Psalms" by St. Robert Bellarmine as well as the "Historical Sketch of the Catholic Church in New Mexico" by the Very Reverend James H. Defouri.
The store personnel were very helpful and knowledgeable. Checkout is very easy. The store hours are Monday through Friday: 9am - 4:30pm and on Saturday from 9am - 5pm. Free limited two hour parking is outside the Church courtyard. Will definitely stop by again if in the area.
A small note: Although parking can become a bit difficult outside the Church, especially before and after Church Masses, there is ample paid parking (city/private)...

She looked looked like she was falling apart. It was obvious that she wasn't happy with who had taken up residence there. But Father Gabby is restoring her back to her beauty. For four years I prayed for a new Priest and God answered my prayers with Father Gabriel. The new stucco looks amazing. To all of those who come to visit her, enjoy your visit. She is warm, tender and loving. She is the Mother Church of Albuquerque. If you happen to be inside the Church when the church bell rings, you can feel and hear...
Read morethe oldest church in Albuquerque... or should I say, the first church built in the Albuquerque. Considering the fact that the New Mexico and Albuquerque was originally spanish colony, the town was built by spanish settler therefore the church is spanish style instead of Gothic or Romanesque style. Consequently, you won't find any Stained Glass or big pipe organ. Instead you will find typical mexican style catholic figurines and status. It is small and appearance is a typical church you will find in Mexico. Still, I recommend to visit the church if you visit Albuquerque because I personally think this is few of the spanic feathers you will find in Albuquerque because so far my impression of Albuquerque is more of land of native american instead of old...
