This was just outright overall bad. I saw the high rating and thought it would be good but from the moment I walked in it was a bad experience. No one was at the door to greet you and the staff was sitting at a table across the room yelling at me to ask if it was a table for 1 not bothering to get up and told me to sit wherever- mind you the sign at the door says wait to be seated. They dont have fresh thai tea. Its already mixed and overly sweet and when I asked to taste it (I have milk allergies so I prefer to put the milk in myself) I got a funny face from the waitress. Apparently the green tea has a lot of sugar as well. So I ended up with nectar which I didn't drink either. I had to flag down the waiter and waitress twice just to ask how spicy the curry is and for a bowl since they brought my food out on dirty plates. Then I tried the panang curry which was just coconut milk with a dash of curry to make it red and pre cooked bland chicken and I was done. It was nasty and I couldn't manage to swallow the second bite. I had to flag down the waitress again just to get the check and told her it wasn't any good. They didn't try to fix it and charged me $14.51 for it. Needless to say definitely not worth it and nothing like real thai food. I even had time to write this whole review while waiting for her to take my payment 🙄

Thai Spice delivered a delightful dining experience with a mix of vibrant flavors and generous portions. Our meal included a variety of dishes: beef salad, ginger stir-fry with beef, sweet and sour chicken stir-fry, fresh spring rolls, fried rolls, and sticky rice for dessert. Starting with the appetizers, the fresh spring rolls were generously sized and bursting with freshness, while the fried rolls were simply amazing, crispy on the outside and flavorful inside. Moving on to the main courses, both the beef salad and ginger stir-fry with beef impressed with their tender meat and crunchy vegetables. The sweet and sour chicken stir-fry was a hit as well, perfectly balancing tangy and sweet flavors. Despite a busy dining room, the service was commendable though the food did take a bit longer to arrive, which was understandable given the freshness and cooking to order. Highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the sticky rice dessert, which we all loved for its rich, satisfying sweetness. Overall, Thai Spice offers a memorable dining experience with delicious food that's worth the wait. We look forward to returning to explore more of their menu. Went back the next day for more and the service was very quick even though they were quite busy. Love this place.

I love Thai food. I usually cook it at home because there is not one good Thai restaurant in El Paso. For reference my favorite Thai place ever is Wild Thaiger in Phoenix. That being said, this place is a close second. The ice coffee flavor is very balanced, the Som Tam was authentic and had a great fish sauce, tamarind and lime flavor. They are heavy on spicy heat so be specific - I was not disappointed though, I love spicy food. The Pad Thai wasn't greasy in the least and also had a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavor. I liked that they gave me a lime so that I could season to taste. Lastly the sticky rice was on point, a sweet, sticky, coconut flavor and the mango was beautiful. They've got Sriracha at every table too. Everyone there is Thai and the kitchen is open so you can see the chefs enjoy their job and do great work. The whole restaurant is very clean. One note - there is no public restroom - though I didn't see that as a problem. Overall I am certain without a doubt that this is the best Thai restaurant in Albuquerque, hands down. All of the others have mixed reviews - Thai Spice is the right choice. I'm glad I went and I've got a new favorite!

Thai Spice, you saucy little legend—you’ve officially ruined all other Thai food for us.

Let’s set the scene: It’s date night. We’re hungry. We’re adventurous. We want noodles, spice, and a little culinary magic. Enter Thai Spice, stage left, ready to deliver a full-blown flavor mic drop.

We kicked things off with the fried dumplings because, let’s be honest, it’s not a real meal without something fried to start the party. These dumplings weren’t just good—they were make-you-close-your-eyes-and-slow-chew good. Crispy little clouds of glory stuffed with seasoned perfection. If there were more, we would have fought each other for the last one. Probably to the death.

My wife ordered the cashew stir fry, which arrived looking like a Pinterest food board and tasting like a wok full of dreams. The veggies were fresh, the sauce was rich and just the right amount of sticky, and those cashews? Honey, they were roasted to crunchy, nutty royalty status.

I went full flavor-commando and ordered the drunken noodles—because sometimes you want your noodles sloppy, spicy, and just a little scandalous. And Thai Spice delivered. Wide noodles swimming in bold, garlicky sauce, with just the right heat level to make your tastebuds throw a rave. It was one of those meals where you keep eating even after you’re full because you don’t want the magic to end. (RIP to my leftovers plan.)

But wait—dessert. Thai. Tapioca. Let me just say this: if you’ve never had Thai tapioca before, this is your sign from the starch gods. It’s creamy, lightly sweet, a little chewy, and somehow the perfect cool-down after the spice parade. It’s like a cozy rice pudding and a coconut milk spa day had a delicious baby.

And now for the true MVP of the evening: Pim, our waitress. Pim is the kind of server who makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. She’s adorable, attentive, and somehow manages to appear exactly when you need her—like a food ninja in the best way. Pim, if you’re reading this, you’re a national treasure.

Bottom line: Thai Spice is a hidden gem that should be on everyone’s radar. If you’re in Albuquerque and not eating here, I assume you either hate joy or got lost on the way to flavor town.

We’ll be back. Probably weekly....

A huge Thank you to Mike and the staff at Thai spice in Albuquerque NM. My husband and I are living in Southern California and we eat Thai food all the time! It's one of our favorite places to eat. That being said We had our in-laws come for a visit and they wanted to try something different so we decided to have them try our favorite place for Thai food out here and let them decide for themselves whether they like it or not and they actually loved it!! Unfortunately they live in Albuquerque New Mexico not in Southern California and they did not know where to find good Thai food in Albuquerque. Being natives ourselves from Albuquerque NM we know how hard it is to find a good Thai restaurant out there especially because everything in New Mexico is all about Red and Green chili and Mexican food. Lol.. Anyways my husband and I decided for Christmas we would give a gift certificate to both my in-laws and my mom too so that they could both try a meal at a great Thai restaurant in Albuquerque NM. We searched through Yelp and found that Thai Spice had the best reviews and the food looked phenomenal! It definitely looked like a restaurant that we would try. We called up Thai spice restaurant and spoke with Mike and he accommodated us with not only getting them a gift certificate for their meals but to help them with ordering the dishes that we suggested & wanted them to try. I want to personally thank Mike and his staff for going out of their way and making not only my in-laws but my mom too. Thank you for making them so comfortable and thank you again for all that you guys did to make their dining experience so good that they both said that they will definitely be back!! We can't wait to try them once we are able to get back home for a visit. If you're ever in the Albuquerque area and are looking for a great Thai restaurant too try then you should give Thai spice a try! Their reviews are definitely...

Don't bother if you want your food less than 45min!! While host experience was awesome, we got seated quickly and he went through menu on recommendations as it was our first time there (and new to NM)...however the waitress was soooo bad (she had ponytail braid).

Honestly I think she forgot to put in our order, it took 47min to get food for 2 people (after waving her down at 40min)! She never stopped by to check on us the whole time we were there except the 3min when she took our order .
