This is the worst experience I have ever had at Outback but guaranteed I will not be back. My husband and I came for dinner on our date night we were here 2 weeks ago as well last time we were here the restaurant was so cold that it made it difficult to eat. Granted we had a bad experience 2 weeks ago but we thought we like Outback so we will give it another try. Well we came back tonight. We asked for 2 waters with lemon it took almost 10 min to get that then when our appetizer came out the manager had to get us silverware pur own server never noticed. Then we had to beg for a complimentary loaf of bread. I ordered the Queensland Chicken and Pasta I asked for no seasoning on the chicken because they always overload it with pepper and then that's all you taste. Well when I got my food it was overloaded with pepper like I asked for it not to be. The booths are made for a extremely skinny person and very difficult to get in and out of. The server never checked on us when he would walk by never asked if we wanted another loaf of bread. The prices have almost doubled and the food quality is almost half of what it used to be. For the prices that Outback wants for food and we had to literally beg for anything we wanted. The host staff NEVER smiles they are too much in a hurry to throw you at your table and walk away like your not my responsibility. The manager didnt even smile when she came by to see how everything was. My husband had ordered a center cut sirloin the only thing good about that was the A1 sauce that again we had to wait almost 10 minutes for. The server was more than happy to pay attention to us and be helpful when it came time to pay the bill and leave. We should NOT have to beg for anything for the prices you are asking for mediocre food. The mashed potatoes that my husband got with his steak were so bland and had no flavor that you couldn't even tell they were potatoes. I didnt want to complain to the manager because then she would have comped something and I would rather just pay my bill and leave. When we were leaving I went and told the young lady at the hostess podium that this was the worst experience I have ever had at Outback and guaranteed I won't ever be back and her only response was OK um I'm sorry (kinda like I really dont care but I'm expected to apologize so I'll say it). The managers could use a lesson from the Lady Manager at Hot Tamales in Rio Rancho at how to talk to guests and make sure they are taken care of. I have been in customer service for over 18 yrs in my current position I am a receptionist for a major retail company if my manager ever heard me tell someone that complained "ok" I would have been pulled aside and retrained in customer service immediately. Way to go Outback you screwed...
Read moreI'm so sad! I talked my husband into going for a celebration of my new job. The last time we went it was fantastic and I loved the filet medallions and my husband loved the salmon! So we get there and I order the Strawberry mojito and it tasted a glass of lime juice. The server was only able to carry one glass at a time, seems he was a stranger to trays. Even though my husband's beer was ready he brought my drink, served someone else then brought his beer. I asked to change the drink with a glass of wine and a Sprite. He finally brings me the wine but I had to wait for the Sprite. Again only able to carry one glass at a time. Then he forgot our soup that we asked to be the appetizer. It came not very hot, and mostly runny with very few potatoes. My husband began to get upset, and said now the food will come while we are still eating the appetizer, which it did. My husband is an amazing 5 star server in another resturant and has over 27 years of experience and was beginning to get irritated at the lack of attentiveness or personality in this server. I tried to keep him calm until his food came and the broccoli was cold. He could not take it anymore and sent his food back. I was hungry so I ate mine even though the medallions were over done and not as good as the first time. I asked for medium rare and got them medium well. Then before we even got our bill, the server brought us a credit card and bill that belonged to another table. My husband wondered if he was high. So while my husband went to the bathroom I paid the bill because I knew my husband would not tip him, I felt bad so I did. My husband was so upset that I did that, because he really did not do a good job and did not deserve a good tip. I had to listen to him complain all the way home. He absolutely ruined our celebratory dinner and our mood along with our evening. Now I will never be able to go to this Outback, with my husband ever again. I am so sad. : ( First time at this restaurant and we left happy and content, this time we came happy and content and left angry and upset....

My steak was a little too chewy for medium rare but considering they had to specially make it with just salt and pepper (and I didn't choose the most expensive cut), I was not disappointed. The bread is delicious, with actual butter. Again, my shrimp was also a little overcooked but with no sauces for moisture, not bad at all. My husband enjoyed his steak and salad and sweet potato along with a tortilla soup. No complaints from him. I was not impressed with the baked sweet potato: large fibrous chunks and I think they just did not choose good produce or let it age too long. However, I still believe they deserve all five stars.
I was pleasantly surprised to find a few single-malt Scotch choices. .and not all blendeds. Kudos on that menu choice! I also like the salt and pepper mills in the table. Suggestion: have the raspberry sauce instead of chocolate sauce on dessert choices. On a busy Sunday night, I felt happy, relaxed and at peace in spite of being in a very onion-centered environment because they treated us as individual guests and not...
