Wendy's was my fast food snack attack shack of choice up until recently. I went to this Wendy's in the late evening and saw it was backed up but I truly didn't care, I needed to be to work but figured I had the time. I wanted my Baconator and it is typically worth the wait. 13 minutes to process about 3 cars in front of me I finally arrived at the intercom to order.
I saw it was busy and was taking the lighthearted approach. Food service can be killer and attempting to make a wisecrack to the individual on the other line was my first error.
Intercom Boy gave me the typical greeting to which I replied: "Hey! I good evening, I'm heading to work and I've been in line for awhile, is it ok to ask how long it would take for a Baconator meal?"
Intercom Boy must not have liked that because immediately I received a girl on the other end giving me the typical Wendy's greeting when you first get to the intercom. No worries... I was still worried about my time heading to work so I asked once more, "Hi, the line has been moving a bit slow, how long do you think it will take to make a burger?"
Again the intercom cut out but this time I was waiting for about 4 minutes. I kid you not. I was blown away. At this point there was no vehicles in line in front of me and there was about 6 sitting waiting to give their order.
The individuals taking the order were not pleased. They were punishing me, even! The Intercom Boy was back and gave the greeting again. This time I was slightly annoyed and asked, "Hey, you guys have hung up twice now. Are you going to do it again?" YUP!
Waiting... Another minute or so and the greeting came and finally I had enough.
"Baconator. Large. Coke."
That was all, so I pulled forward to the smile of a chipper girl at the window. I was low energy and I asked, "Hey, is everything ok? You guys just hung up three times on an intercom."
Intercom Girl: "Yea we just get that question a lot."
"Well that is fine... But I wasn't attacking you, my time matters and so does yours. Go ahead and cancel the order and have a good night."
At least there is a Whataburger and Five Guys right next door, they will be getting my business...
Read moreI knew how slow this location is at almost Anytime of the day, but it is close to my work so I thought..I will place a mobile order and wait to go pick up that will give them plenty of time right?? Wrong! So I placed my mobile order at 2pm (not even lunch rush hour) for a 2:10 pick up time, but then I didn't get there until 2:20 to give extra time. So I get there.. nothing in mobile order area. I had to wait about 10 mins to talk to someone to ask where my order was. The guy taking orders was slow and not very professional, I tried to get the attention of the manager that kept walking to the front to put out orders, but her objective was clearly to ignore anyone that might try to talk to her. Then the guy at front keeps asking people in the back for my mobile order and no one answers him. All I ordered was a 6 piece nugget meal. After another 15 mins the guy brings up a small bag with the mobile order tape used to close the bag and my drink. I knew I couldn't trust it so I opened the bag and sure enough only nuggets in bag no fries so I tell him.. there are only nuggets, I still need my fries. He tries to tell me I didn't order fries. I said yes I did. I can show you. He says oh yeah. Still I have to wait longer. So the manager comes up again and I say hello and ask if she is the manager and she rudely says wait please and so I wait some more and tell her my order time pick up time and what time it was now and that the guy almost sent me away without even checking to see if he gave me my full order. She gets me the fries, half-heartedly apologizes. So unprofessional. I felt so unwelcome there and I felt uncomfortable, like they were doing me a favor by me buying the food. This was on 12/6. I didn't get my order ahead order until 30 mins after my order time! I only gave one star because it wouldn't allow me to put none. I hope this location can get their poop in a group, because this is unacceptable. FAST food. Not slow food served by rude...
Read moreWent thru drive thru tonight to order food. Keep in mind there is only one car at the drive thru window. I'm sitting there waiting for a few mins. I notice the person at the Register, is in a conversation with person in the car. He notices I'm there. He proceeded to tell me that they are not taking drive thru orders. They are only accepting online orders. Not to mention there are no signs explaining that the company is only accepting online orders. Why have drive thru even open. It seemed like the conversation was more important than my order. Terrible customer service. Sad thing is I drove down the road to Burger King. Which had 5 cars ahead of me, also there was only 2 employees on duty. They even expressed that there may be a wait. Those two employees got 5 cars plus me out in less than 5 mins. wendys service is going south real fast. How am I supposed to sample the "new" fries advertised. When you can't even order at "drive thru" windows. Laziness and lack of true leadership, is killing you guys image and service. Burger King 🤴 out worked you guys with count it ✌🏽...
