At first it was a little strange. The sign looked like it said they were open, but the door was firmly locked. After a few minutes, I called the first number on the door. It rang a bunch and was finally transferred to a voice-mail message in Spanish, which, embarrassingly, I don't speak. So I tried the second number. A man answered after a few rings and after i asked and got confirmation that I'd reached araceli bridal, he said he'd be there in 15 minutes. So I sat in my car in very albuquerque fashion in a very albuquerque place, San Mateo and menaul, and waited. He showed up in maybe a little more than 15 minutes, took me right in, listened to what I was looking for and started presenting me with options. He was nice, heard what I was saying, and was attentive, but not too attentive, while I browsed options. Other people started to come in, I think one or two who worked there, maybe one other customer, and this cute little shop that I've been curious about since I was a little girl, started to come to life. I found several beautiful options for my wedding gown (I'm looking for a red one, and this is the first place I've found where I can find a dress that matches my vision) and I know if I go back, I will be treated well and satisfied with my experience. And now I know to call first, lol. The nice gentleman who came to help me said he runs another business up the street and I know how hard it is for small businesses at the best of times, much less in the strange times we're in now. Call first and...
Read moreHorrible experience, walked in, this guy at the store was on his phone watching a show, he doesn’t even welcome clients, I browsed around and more people came in he didn’t even bother to get up from his chair, I finally went up to him and asked if there was anyone to help to get a dress down, that’s when he got up and helped me and then started helping other customers, i showed him a pictures of what I was looking for and he didn’t even bother to tell me if they had something similar or if they can order, he just told me to try other models, also told him of the color I was looking for and he responded that color is not a seller, also asked if the other store might have what I was looking for and completely ignored my question, dude I’m buying a dress on the color that I need, I’m not there for you to sell me what you want or what you have in stock, he was able to convince someone else to go other route with their dress from what they originally wanted, BUT guess what not me, I’m not that person, I’m buying the dress not getting it for free, he didn’t even noticed I walked out of the store, never returning to that place, first time in there and sure will...
Read moreSo my daughter was that girl who tried on her quince dress and was sure it was the one! But got home and dad decided it was not church appropriate and too much so we ended up with not just one but two amazing dresses from Araceli’s Bridal. The first one (light blue) was an in store purchase and it came with the package (crown, bouquet, guest book, photo album, etc). Rachel loved it. Then when we changed it everyone was amazing. They helped us special order the dark blue one and exchanged the package part (the gown was non-refundable) to dark blue. We got the gown just in time for her quince and it fit perfectly with no alterations! Everyone was so nice and understanding!!! I love this place. Originally I thought I would have to go to Juarez but why bother when you...
