M P Hibachi Grill Chinese — Restaurant in Alcoa

I have eaten here since 1986. The previous owners had a Chinese Buffet here and I used to come here with my Mom. I was 6 years old and I used to get a McDonald’s happy meal and bring inside here and eat it while my mom would eat the Chinese buffet. I was scared of Chinese. I love Chinese food now and have since I was about 12. Long story short, I have been coming here for 36 years but probably no more. Sad. I came to give the new owners my business and they had been busy and the rush was over. They were cleaning up tables and taking care of a few lingering tables. I have worked restaurants and managed them. I expect good service but I am forgiving when I can see a reason. My issue is with my food. I got the Hibachi Chicken and veggies. My veggies were visibly burned. Blackened Zucchini etc . But my food was served cool. The rice was cool, the veggies was cool, the chicken was cool- like room temperature. If you add chilled Shrimp Sauce then it becomes cold. I ate a few bites and asked for it to be taken away. Offered to replace and I said No. I was ready to go because their was other disappointments besides this chilled Hibachi Chicken dish but this was a final issue. They didn’t offer to remove from my bill. They offered 20% off. So my issue is -$13.95 for Hot Hibachi Chicken and Veggies is what I wanted but I was forced to pay about $11.50 for cold Hibachi Chicken and burnt Veggies. I will not be back. Horrible experience making a to go order on Thursday night 9-14-17 at 8pm they rushed me to place my order I asked please don't put carrots on our orders. ( they did) I asked for a difference kind of sauce for my salad like I always order when I come inside to eat.I also asked for extra sole sauce and hot sauce and was told all of it was an extra charge. People who get take out orders pay more for their food than people that eat in and they give you extra shrimp sauce with no extra charge inside. They told me it would take 30 mins I got there within 20 mins and my food was already cold. DONT TREAT PEOPLE DIFFERENT THAT ORDER TAKE OUT ANY DIFFERENT THAN PROPLE INSIDE.. DONT RUSH THEM PLACING AN ORDER cause you will mess things up like putting carrots in meals that I plainly said not to.. Picked up lunch for our Sunday meal at the hospital. We called it in and it was ready and packaged very well. The staff was very nice and attentive. Everyone got diffrent things. I got teriyaki chicken with vegetables. It was all white meat and the teriyaki sauce was very good. I especially liked the sweet carrots. The rice was very good and the bottom of the rice mound was soaked in teriyaki sauce and was delicious. I also got an egg roll but it was mostly cabbage and I didn't care for it. My friend got beef fried rice and it was fantastic. Finally a place that serves fried rice brown like it's supposed to be. We had a great lunch. In fact it was so good I went back that night and got dinner. This place is currently my favorite Chinese food in Maryville. I would reccomend a visit to dine in or carry out. You won't be...
