Best omelette I've ever had!

Let me preface with this: I'm a vegetable freak and I know not everyone would be keen on their veggie & cheese omelette as it doesn't contain just the typical "breakfast veggies" such as onions, peppers, mushrooms. It had broccoli, zucchini, and carrots. Veggie lovers rejoice because this is the one for you. It was the most delightful surprise and the incredible taste of the vegetables were on par with perfect. The omelette is thin to accommodate a lot of goodness inside. It was a great balance!

EVERYTHING was wonderful. We did add a little salt and pepper to the gravy but I'm not mad about that because that's a personal preference that everyone should be able to adjust themselves. The biscuits were buttery and flaky. The hasbrowns were cooked perfectly and not too oily. The pancakes were huge and fluffy.

Not a single complaint.

I loved stepping back in time and visiting a restaurant that is a reminder of the past and age-old recipes. I don't know why people complain about the atmosphere. I think it's delightful.

We went on a Saturday morning and it was busy. We waited a while for a table and then again for our food. It was absolutely worth it!

Plenty of parking. Friendly staff! Incredible prices. See Tina. She will take very good...

I want to add that the prices on the website aren't correct grilled salmon is $17.49 and on the website it's $9.49 which is not the right price Chicken liver price is $12.74 now and Website says $7.89 I also want to say we are in 2025 and if you have common sense things are outrageous these days and this ain't bad prices considering we went to cracker barrel last week and it was $56.19 for 2 people but here was only $38 plus a tip. Bathrooms was extremely clean and the lady's there do a FANTASTIC JOB

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!! If you ain't been to this country cooking restaurant your definitely missing out. The food is OUT OF THIS WORLD just like Grandma's made it back in the day! My Mamaw has the chicken livers with onions, green beans and mashed potatoes,I had the grilled Salmon with fried squash and fried okra and LORD the sweet tea is just like grandma made definitely is much better then McDonald's you can tell the difference! I also wanna say the women who work here ALWAYS smile and that says ALOT in this day in time we will be back soon thank you lady's for A...

Midland is one of the last great Americana diners in the area, with a particular focus on their breakfast which is wildly popular with the locals. Biscuits, gravy, bacon, and coffee are standard fare. What you won't find is a lot of vegetarian substitutes or breakfast mimosas, but Midland doesn't pretend to cater to that crowd. The prices are very reasonable and the wait times to be seated are only long [maybe 15 minutes?] during peak hours. The waiting area is a choke point for the bathrooms and the exit so prepare to stand up and be in somebody's way since the few seats available are traditionally offered to the elderly or people with small children. Some of the tables are quite close together [but always clean] and I would consider bringing a light jacket since parts of the restaurant can be downright frigid. Easily seen from the main road and plenty of parking. Friendly and accommodating staff. If you're visiting the area on vacation, do yourself a favor and stop here...

Went in for breakfast yesterday and it was crowded. We got a table in about ten minutes and the service was excellent. I got an early bird special and my girl got biscuits and gravy with hashbrowns. The biscuits and gravy is supposed to be like a religious experience. Sorry to say I didn't join the church of gravy today. It was dirty brown and salty with no sausage. Nothing really special but edible. My cheese eggs and bacon were very good. I've eaten here under the previous owners and the food to me was better. That being said I enjoyed the meal and would go again. One thing the place has going for it besides excellent waitresses is very good price. Breakfast is very reasonably priced and it's good. Locals adore this place so bring patience if you want weekend breakfast. I would reccomend a visit to this Maryville institution.

what a local gem! I knew we were in for a good experience when our Monday morning wait time was 15 mins. The Midland definitely gives “your grandmas dining room vibes”, which is delightful. I noticed immediately how friendly and attentive the staff are. Our waitress, Kelly, was so kind and accommodating. My husband enjoyed the Hungry Sally breakfast that includes delicious, fluffy pancakes and I had the early riser special which comes with biscuits and gravy. Everything was so yummy! The prices are good, but the website needs to be updated as they are several dollars more on the current menu. We look forward to returning!
