Best omelette I've ever had!
Let me preface with this: I'm a vegetable freak and I know not everyone would be keen on their veggie & cheese omelette as it doesn't contain just the typical "breakfast veggies" such as onions, peppers, mushrooms. It had broccoli, zucchini, and carrots. Veggie lovers rejoice because this is the one for you. It was the most delightful surprise and the incredible taste of the vegetables were on par with perfect. The omelette is thin to accommodate a lot of goodness inside. It was a great balance!
EVERYTHING was wonderful. We did add a little salt and pepper to the gravy but I'm not mad about that because that's a personal preference that everyone should be able to adjust themselves. The biscuits were buttery and flaky. The hasbrowns were cooked perfectly and not too oily. The pancakes were huge and fluffy.
Not a single complaint.
I loved stepping back in time and visiting a restaurant that is a reminder of the past and age-old recipes. I don't know why people complain about the atmosphere. I think it's delightful.
We went on a Saturday morning and it was busy. We waited a while for a table and then again for our food. It was absolutely worth it!
Plenty of parking. Friendly staff! Incredible prices. See Tina. She will take very good...

Read moreMidland is one of the last great Americana diners in the area, with a particular focus on their breakfast which is wildly popular with the locals. Biscuits, gravy, bacon, and coffee are standard fare. What you won't find is a lot of vegetarian substitutes or breakfast mimosas, but Midland doesn't pretend to cater to that crowd. The prices are very reasonable and the wait times to be seated are only long [maybe 15 minutes?] during peak hours. The waiting area is a choke point for the bathrooms and the exit so prepare to stand up and be in somebody's way since the few seats available are traditionally offered to the elderly or people with small children. Some of the tables are quite close together [but always clean] and I would consider bringing a light jacket since parts of the restaurant can be downright frigid. Easily seen from the main road and plenty of parking. Friendly and accommodating staff. If you're visiting the area on vacation, do yourself a favor and stop here...
