The employees at this store are incredibly rude and tonight was the very last time that I will ever step foot in this store. My husband and I were checking out trying to secretly get a betta fish tank for one of our daughters, while our our kids looked at the fish. We spent $105, which is a typical visit for us since we own two dogs, 3 cats, 3 bearded dragons, a ton of fish and many rabbits. My daughter has been trying to decide on what pet she wants to save up for to go in a tank in her room. I told her she could take 4 of the care sheet pamphlets with her so we could read them together and see what was needed to care for each animal to make a good choice. We were the only people in line and the kids were not alone for more than a couple of minutes at most. An employee came over to the line escorting my kids and saying they shouldn't be unsupervised and said they were tearing up things. All of them denied it and it doesn't sound like something my kids would do. My daughter that was picking out the pamphlets was crying and said she had taken them all from her, along with a gift card that she was holding to put her savings on. She was very snide and rude, so I wanted to speak to the manager. The manager did not care at all at us being upset about the employee's rudeness and said the pamphlets were for customers. We just spent $105, sorry, I didn't realize we weren't customers. He said we could go ahead and return what we just bought, so we did. When my husband was returning the items as the manager suggested, he said we had to understand the kids were banging on glass and running around. Really? Which was it, tearing up papers or banging on the glass in the couple of minutes it took to check out? My kids are well behaved, we trusted leaving them to look at the animals together while we checked out, the girl was just trying to cover her butt for her rudeness by making excuses and putting the blame elsewhere. My daughter cried for a long time after leaving, we will definitely never return. This same manager at another visit before this one, came up to my husband after he had been waiting for help in the fish department for 30 minutes with no employees to be seen and asked if needed help. Instead of helping when my husband told him he needed fish, he said someone would be there shortly, it was another 15 minutes before someone came. The drive to Knoxville to get fish in the future will be worth it. Also want to mention, after we returned our items at PetSmart, we went to Pet Supplies Plus, who were very kind and helpful, as always, the employees there are always ready to help and have wonderful customer service, we also got the same items...
Read moreVery disappointed at this store location. My husband and I went out of town for the weekend, we scheduled for my parents to take our dog to have a bath with the grooming services. We've been taking her to Petsmart for almost a year with great service (at the West Town location) , so we were very surprised when my father called me on our vacation livid at the lack of service.
To begin with, her appointment was at 3:00. We purchased a regular bath and also added Natures Miracle Deoderizing Dog (a $21 up charge). My father dropped her off at 3:00. By 7:00, he had not received a phone call for an update or to come pick her up, so he went to the store himself to check on her. Immediately, he was greeted with a sour employee who acted as though she was bothered by him coming to pick up a dog. She handed him the paperwork and told him to go pay at the front. I had told my father it would be around $45, so he was surprised when it was $26. My father informed her of the deodorizing treatment, her reaction was "we washed her with oatmeal shampoo".
After he paid, he went back to the grooming center to collect our dog. He immediately heard the sounds of her nails on the floor. Apparently, her nails weren't cut. The woman told him we would need to bring her back when their was more people, later she would go on to say "that she wasn't having any of that". So, with the conflicting stories, not sure why the services weren't provided. We have been taking her to Petsmart for nail clippings since she was a puppy, so I find it very unlikely that "she wasn't having any of that".
My father spoke with the manager of the store, who claimed they were too busy since it was national pet adoption day (why that affected basic grooming services still baffles me). He said we would have to speak with the grooming manager on Monday (this all occurred on Saturday). I'm unsure why they kept my dog for FOUR hours for a basic bath and didn't even provide the paid services. Don't waste your money...
Read moreVery disappointed in the groomers. We had been using the Petsmart store in Farragut for 4 years for our Great Pyrenees since she was born and never had any issues with her temper. We moved to Maryville and thought we would give them a try since they were close to us. A huge mistake, they admitted they had tried trimming her nails, and had cut them to short, which she reacted a little aggressively too. Which I feel is normal for any pet to defend itself. She was on guard after that fear of getting hurt again. She did react to a bath and they stopped and called us to pick her up. And told us we should wait a little while and bring her back to try again. They never blocked us but made notes in the comments she was an aggressive dog. We decided to take her back to Farragut to the original store, so it would more familiar settings. We booked our appointment on Tuesday and they waited to the day of the appointment to call and refuse our dog because how she had reacted with Maryville groomers last time. And said they should have blocked us from ever making an appointment at any stores. I understand they don’t want aggressive animals, but they should expect an aggressive animal when they hurt them, even if it’s unintentional. And give the dog a second chance if animal was unintentional hurt. Plus don’t lie to us telling us it’s ok and we can bring her back. And then wait till the day of the grooming to tell us that they can’t do it, at least we could have found someone that’s willing to take our...
