Huddle House — Restaurant in Alexander City

This place has horrible customer service! I'm not one to give bad reviews bc I know it can be hurtful to businesses but this is the last straw! This started a couple of weeks ago when I ordered a chopped steak meal. My sides were green beans and salad and some swiss cheese on the chopped steak. When I got home there were no utensils, no salad and the cheese was put in a bowl on the side. Common sense would tell you that it's supposed to be melted in the meat (plus I told them this too)! I called them and they were about to close so the girl said she was sorry and that she would comp my meal the next day. Cool! I ordered the same exact thing the next day and get there where she tells me that she IS charging for the meat bc I got it yesterday. Sure thing... Not what you told but...yeah. I just saved 67 cents! WOO HOO! Anyway, I put that behind me! Last Sunday I ordered 2 MVP meals to eat before church. I get there and they look and look and look but they can't find my ticket. So needless to say she apologized and I went to church hungry bc I didn't have time to wait for it to cook and didn't have time to make anything myself. Thanks Huddle House! So onto today! I just called up there and they answered the phone. I told her I had a to go order and she ok please hold. Ok, I'll hold. After being on hold for 5 minutes I gave up. They had no intentions of taking my order or helping me! I really wish they weren't the only game in town but I guess when you are it doesn't matter how your customer service is! Just my two cents! I frequent Alexander City, Alabama quite often. I arrived at this Huddle House location with a growling stomach, a shortage of time and a project to review one last time prior to submission. I quickly sat myself and grabbed a menu. Needing to direct my attention elsewhere, I ordered the first item I saw that appeased my hunger pains. The waitress was prompt but not overbearing. She brought my drink and I looked up anticipating the request of my food order. However, my waitress was busy going above and beyond. She lowered the blinds to filter the blinding natural sunlight and took special care to clean AND dry the table even though it appeared freshly cleaned when I sat down. She then took my food order. My stuffed hash browns with toast arrived quickly with steam rising from the gravy. She placed extra napkins on my table and pointed out the closest outlet in case I needed to charge my laptop. My tea glass was never below half and it was refreshed without disruption. I sat in that booth longer than the average patron and I received better service than any entitled luxury diner.

Was given wrong order. When I called Rachel answered the phone and refused to handle the situation and gave the phone to someone else. Then asked me to return the order I received as if I wasn’t telling the truth after I described the order. I was also told that they would prepare my order again so it would be ready when I arrive. When I arrived they took the bag and asked other employees where was my order. Again Rachel who took my order and told me to ask for her refused to address me. My order wasn’t ready and they haven’t began to remake the order. So I asked for a refund. The other waitress tried to accommodate me and asked if they could still remake the food I agreed and stated I would be in the car. Rachel again was whispering to the other customers. After I arrived to my car I noticed Rachel talking to the waitress that attempted to fix the issue. The waitress accompanied me outside and stated that they couldn’t remake the order which I was ok with but I what caught my attention was Rachel in the window smiling sarcastically. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come to this establishment until Rachel is fired!!! Or has taken a class on...
