Chuck E. Cheese — Restaurant in Alexandria

I'm going to make this as short as I can .The staff was very inattentive First, when we got there, it was one person working at the counter they left and we left to wait for somebody to come somebody finally came. Then when they came, we tried playing games. Most of every game was missing the balls that went to the games or didn’t work. Told the workers about a few of the games the man that came to fix the games told us that balls were missing but didn't offer our credits back but he was the only one that did converse with us about the problems of the games but noone tried to give us our points back after we was done and ready to go. We went to the counter to turn in the tickets no one came to the counter for about 10 minutes then someone came after about 8 mins I asked if someone was working he said yes they might ask be in the back maybe and said I’ll go get someone for you. He came back and said I fussed at them for you. Someone should come over I looked to my right and there were 3 employees just standing leaning against the wall looking at me and other guest stand and wait to be serviced. None of them moved to help us so we ended up leaving without being serviced so the only reason why I’m giving a one star is because I had to, but this Chuck E. The play area is kept very well cleaned. My wife and I love arcades and were overjoyed to find out that this was an adult friendly arcade. If you are an adult that is just looking to have a good time for half an hour or so then this place is good to go on a Monday through Thursday in the morning. On Fridays through Sunday and any afternoon you have a chance to be surrounded by kids very quickly. The only reason I did not give this review a 5 star is due to how long it takes to load a play on some machines. There seems to be a 5 to 10 seconds delay timer on the machines and will not let you load plays until the machine is done dispensing tickets. This causes you to lose a lot of time just waiting around while your timer on your card ticks down. The worst ones are the coin activated ones. It takes about 15 seconds to scan the card then wait for the coin then put the coin in and if you win big then you have to wait for all the tickets to come out. I hope they come out with a 'buy a cup of tokens' or something for people who only want to do the...

This Chuck E Cheese has changed over the last year. They removed the indoor playground/playset which I was not a fan of. They did switch to a card system for the arcade games which I think was a positive update and the menu has expanded slightly with some different pizza options and a bump up in quality. My biggest complaint is that most of the arcade games now are geared for winning tickets instead of just racing, action, or adventure games. I would say 75% of the games are just ticket games which just doesn't seem fun. It's like watching a bunch of kids on slots at a casino, not much skill just swipe and hope.

My recommendation would be to knock out the stage/animatronics, shorten up the party area, get a theme or decorations going for the walls, and expand the arcade with some actual arcade games. They might not be able to put a playset in there for insurance purposes and that is fine, but the only thing going for them now is the arcade and it is...
