Darrell's Restaurant — Restaurant in Alexandria

Honestly I've never really had good experience at this location. My staff would call in separate orders and I'd pick it up. Multiple times the lady who was working drive thru would get mad at me because she said she didn't know it was separate orders for separate payment even though she had the name of each person and their order separately written down. Apparently the person taking the phone order was different than the person dealing with drive thru. She did this multiple times despite my staff specifying separate orders and payments. I tried to be understanding the first time but after the third time of getting reamed for her own misunderstanding and I refused to pick up orders from there ever again. Haven't been in at least 8 months. Burgers are good. Chicken and such is fairly bland. Darrell sauce is good. It's basically Cane's sauce. The restaurant in Tioga is more polite but food takes forever. Waited almost 30 minutes for a BLT. Only...

This place was a breath of fresh air. Walking in it was very very clean, everyone greeted us as we walked in, was very polite and well mannered. Service was crazy fast, the food was delicious and I couldn’t be happier to finally walk into a restaurant, encounter polite inviting folks and eating food that did not disappoint. This is something that has been lacking lately and I was close to throwing in the towel with eating in town, but this place made my day. The Burger was perfect, the Chicken was very crunchy, juicy and delicious, yes it could have had a little more seasoning but the quality of the chicken compensated very well, the dirty rice was perfect, perfect, perfect. The last few times I tried eating at Darrell's I basically drove off because of the length of wait in the drive through. So, today I decided, give them another try! WRONG DECISION! Ironically, the wait wasn't bad... The food was Horrible! I order two piece White. I got two piece dark!

The rice dressing was a Styrofoam cup of grease with my grease! Oh, did I mention the grease!

The chicken smelled and tasted like s*#t. I couldn't even eat it.

Basically, I paid $7.69 for a leg, a grease cup of rice and a fountain drink.

Well, 1,2, strike 3. You are outta there.

You will never see me again.

To many other Great! place to eat.
