First let me say that 9 times out of 10 I enjoy the food and company at outlaws but today was disappointing. I arrived at noon and ordered a slc Beef Poboy for $6.99 and extra sliced beef for $3.49. When I arrived at the worksite to eat my sandwich I noticed they had not put lettuce, tomato or mayonnaise on it and did not have extra meat. I called them up and was informed I had to request those items. I made it clear that the menu states it is "Dressed with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise" with no mention that you had to request it. In fact I was going to ask them to add pickles but did not as I did not want to confuse the order. I was informed to save the receipt and bring it to the restaurant and they would give me a new Po-Boy and my extra beef I had paid for. At 3 pm I went by and sent my son in to get the Po-Boy and extra meat. He came out with the meat but no sandwich as he stated they could not give me the sandwich as they had not charged me for the lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise which would have showed 50 cent charge. I had to laugh as the menu stated $6.99 for the sandwich dressed with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise with no extra cost associated with it. Instead of arguing with them and having them put special ingredients in my food I decided to post a review. So if you go to Outlaws Barbecue in Alexandria Louisiana to buy a Pressed Beef Po-Boy remember ASK THEM TO ADD THE LETTUCE, TOMATO AND MAYONNAISE and remember that it will cost you 50 cents extra as not like a regular restaurant. Have a good day. I changed my rating to five stars as appreciated the response and agree with the confusion. As stated the problem I had was when I returned to get my Po-Boy to be informed I had not been charged 50 cents so was not getting it did not make me happy especially due to the fact that I had thrown away my other Po-Boy due to it being smothered in BBQ sauce and had been informed it was being replaced. I looked online and noticed you do not add 40 cents to getting tomato, lettuce and mayonnaise but on the board at the drive thru states below everything that if you want lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise you pay 40 cents. Recommend you correct that. Overall I recommend Outlaws.

Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram at SNDTravels. Alexandria Louisiana. We drove over to Outlaws BBQ after our miscue at Eddies. I had the Outlaw plate with sliced brisket, sausage and ribs. Diane had a chopped beef sandwich and we ordered a onion loaf. I was not happy about having to come back this way after the other fiasco so I was ready to tear this review up if they weren't as advertised. We were not disappointed. Everything had a good smoked flavor that present but not taking away from the flavors of the meats. The brisket was tender even though we were at the end of the day. The ribs likewise were tender and the seasoning they used was different and really good. The sausage was a stand out for me. Unique flavor and once again tender. They have three house sauces, original, sweet and spicy. The original was my favorite and Diane had a hard time deciding between the sweet and original. The spicy had just a little bit more vinegar than I like but was still enjoyable. The onion straws were thin and crispy, the coleslaw was a little dry for me but fresh. We asked that they fry the okra extra and they did making it crunchy. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Nice atmosphere and they even have a neat hand washing station in the dining room. Overall two thumbs up. Recommended!👍👍

Traveling from Texas to Memphis I stopped at Outlaw's BBQ, hands down one of the best BBQ restaurants in Louisiana (im a retired pitmaster myself) Ordered the brisket, ribs, chicken, sausage, baked beans and potato salad. The brisket was cooked perfectly with a great Oak smoke flavor a subtle rub that enhanced the taste as it should. Sausage has a great flavor nice clean bite through and paired great with the spicy bbq sauce. The ribs were cooked great with a nice flavor and paired great with the original as well as the sweet bbq sauce. The chicken was juicy, flavorful had great smoke flavor and paired perfectly with the sweet bbq sauce. The sides were good as well, baked beans were nice and flavorful as was the traditional style potato salad. Anyone in the Alexandria, LA that wants really good bbq, this is your place to come. I will deff be back when I am in the area again.

I haven't been here in awhile because I moved to Texas years ago. I decided to come here for some good BBQ and definitely some good dirty rice, which is hard to come by in Texas. Buuuut, unfortunately, their dirty rice was not good. 20% of the rice was still white and was NOT seasoned at all. The meats(ribs and brisket) had a decent smoke flavor but NO seasoning. And they were not hot and kind of room temp, as if they were sitting out for awhile and not in a heating area. The sauces they have are really good which helped with seasoning the meats. I don't think I'll be back though. The presentation is great as well as the customer service

I went through the drive thru and ordered the sliced brisket platter with potato salad and cajun rice. Cost was about $12.00 I took it back to my room, without checking my order. Big Mistake! Once in my room I found they gave me chopped brisket on a baked potato with no sides. I tried calling three times received message everyone is busy try again later every time. So I drove back, explained what happened. They were apollegetic and handed Me another bag. I have no idea if they gave this to someone who did check before leaving. I believe they should have made me a fresh meal rather the one sitting on the counter for over 30 minutes.

Food was on point. This BBQ place offers a drive thru, To Go counter and dine in with counter ordering. They provide a table buzzer so they can deliver your food to you. Food was great, service was pretty good, no issues but nothing extraordinary, and the place is very cute. Rustic looking to aline with BBQ country. I had a 1/4 chicken, chopped brisket, bbq beans and fries. I do recommend offering fresh cut homemade fries. They just mesh perfectly with BBQ. I thoroughly enjoyed it though! I’ll be back if I’m in the area again. Do you have plans to franchise??? I see two locations on the website.
