We used to eat here regularly but will never go here again. My father in law was visiting and we decided to show him our regular sushi spot. Upon entering, it wasn’t busy, and they stuck us in a corner where only two people could sit but since we had 3 people. One person had to sit with there legs crunched up against the other 2 people. We ordered our food. Which took like 20 mins to get (it wasn’t busy at all, open tables). Then there is no room on this 2 person table to remotely have any thing else on the table but a maximum of two plates. The waitress tells us to put our drinks on the bench. So we picking up our drinks, off a damn bench, to drink them, and I KNOW they do not wipe down the benches. THEN, they forget to bring my father-in-law’s main dish, I remind them and they take 5 more mins to bring it to him. We didn’t get refills on water, they messed up on billing us. So a 150$ tab, with the most upsetting customer service, I leave a 15$ tip. Let alone I should not have left any tip since it was a horrible experience. As my father-in-law and I use the restroom before leaving, the waitress has the disrespectful confidence to ask my father-in-law why the tip was so low and what was wrong with the service. Imagine you getting crammed up in a corner where all of your table have their knees bunched together, your waitress telling you to put your drinks on a bench where people SIT DOWN on with their butt, they forget one of your dishes, they mess up on your bill, and then they have entitlement that they should be tipped extremely well. What a joke, we will NEVER...
Read moreI saw the Google rating, decided to give a try, and when I walked out of the restaurant, I saw many people are waiting in line for this place. I am not sure why but for my personal experience as a tourist, I would not recommend this place especially if you have been properly served in Omakase manner / style.
The facts: sushi rice is overly cooked with moist when sushi was made and served, it felt like eating a rice ball with a piece of a fish on the top. The salmon sashimi wasn't cut thru properly so when I picked a piece of sashimi from plate the piece behind also followed. My wife ordered Unadon (Fresh Water Eel over the rice). When they served, it blowed my mind. First, the eel vs. rice is out of balance. Second, it used the same rice as they make for their sushi. Third, (which I cared the most), a proper Unadon required chef or kitchen to cut a fillet of eel into two square pieces that can cover the rice; however, when served, it used the same eel shape as for the sushi purpose. (Google the Unadon image you will see what I am talking about)
Again, don't take in the wrong way. For many, this can be a great restaurant. For few, this may not be the...
Read moreIf you plan on dining in, go somewhere else. This place only prioritizes take out orders, and they accept more than they can handle!
We showed up and put our name in/gave phone #, and they told us it would be a 30 minute wait. We went on a walk nearby and called after around 20 minutes. They claimed we never came in/ they didn't have our info, then took our name and number down again. We decided to walk back to the restaurant and when we went to check in, they again claimed that they didn't have our name and number. The place was had a line outside for takeout orders, and several delivery men crowded the entry. Despite flagging down the staff multiple times, they looked past us and refused to acknowledge us. We stood in line and waited until 9:00, a full 30 min past when we were supposed to have been seated. The restaurant closed at 9:30, so there was no chance of us being seated. By that time, other sushi places were closed and we just went home.
It would have been one thing if they told us they were too busy to seat, but to give an estimation and then ignore you is...
