One of my friends recommended this place for us to visit, so I decided to go by myself. I perused the menu before hand, as I always do before going to any new restaurant. They have a plethora of items from their drinks to desserts.
When entering the venue, it looks small, but once you pass the host desk, there's more space in the back, which is where I sat. My view was great because they have a huge marquee sign over the bar, which seats maybe like 10 patrons. And it's a really bright and vibrant atmosphere. I loved it 😍.
My table was a little small, because it was just me, but it did its job. Because of COVID, they have these plastic shield dividers next to the tables on the back row. They have wheels on them, so you can roll and adjust as needed.
Sisters Thai shares the restaurant space with Magnolia Cafe. When glancing at the menu, I could see that they serve a lot of brunch, desserts, and coffee drinks and tea (hot and cold). They give you 3 different menus for whatever you're in the mood for. But I was there for the Thai food!
I started my meal off by ordering a drink called the honey bee which was really delicious, I ordered another🙃. My appetizer was the garden rolls-rice paper rolls and veggies-served with a peanut sauce. The sauce was good and much needed for the rolls as the veggies had no flavor. However, the sauce to peanut ratio was off. Once you dipped one 1/2 of the roll in the sauce, there was nothing left but the peanuts🤦🏽♀️. My second appetizer was the angel wings which are chicken drummets with a spicy chili sauce. That chili sauce makes the wing bc they're not seasoned, so again you need the sauce. Bit the sauce is good, so I recommend.
I tried a few of the entrees because you know, I'm greedy🤷🏽♀️. I ordered the pad Thai noodles, drunken noodles, kana moo grob, and Khao soi. I'm going to break it down by each dish: Pad thai- Meh🤷🏽♀️ I've actually had better Drunken noodles-🥴 delicious and spicy! Kana moo grob (Krispy pork with Chinese broccoli)-👎🏾 the pork wasn't Krispy and it wasn't flavorable at all. It was also supposed to be spicy and it was not. Khao soi-🥰 this soup was amazing! It wasn't spicy as suggested on the menu but that broth was so favorable!!!!! It's a milk based broth so if you're lactose I wouldn't recommend it. But you could taste each ingredient in that broth. It was topped with crispy noodles and chicken.
I didn't try any of the desserts, but I may go back to do brunch, just to sample the Magnolia Cafe treats. Again, the had so many food items on the menu and everyone else's pallet is different. But I...
Read moreCan we please just talk about Mango and sticky rice for a moment? Now, I have 100% bias with this dessert. It's a Thai dessert and if it's on the menu, I'm ordering it. I've yet to be disappointed in a version from any restaurant, except the one time the place I ordered from had unripe mango which was annoying. Other than that, the sweetness from the condensed milk against the bland white rice and a little sharp tang from Mango (which aside from Chamoy I could easily live without) is the perfect dessert. I don't know why the one from Sisters Thai is green but it doesn't matter. It is delectable. It is everything I expect it to be. I think the colors are amazing. Everything in this presentation is wonderful. The piece that's cut, that's because I began to dig in before I took a shot. Then realized what I am supposed to do as a food reviewer... take the pic before I eat! The first item I tried was the ham and cheese croissant. It's fine. It's not amazing. I could probably eat it again but I don't feel like it's a main attraction. The croissant was somewhat bready to me. It reminded me of a bread trying to be a croissant. The top was crisp, likely from an egg wash and the parmesan was a welcome addition. The whole presentation was nice but the cheese is cheap American cheese (not like that delectable Land O Lakes cheese - why isn't anyone talking about the missing Native woman anymore?) and the ham reminded me of school lunch. Again, I'm not saying it terrible, even though as I describe it I might sound like I am but it just wasn't spectacular. It was only okay. I didn't hate it. I'm sure my kids would've enjoyed it... but they have no palette. The mixed greens... I wasn't sure if it was only for presentation and I had more food on the table so I didn't do anything with them. I just left it as it was. So, the thing worth eating and absolutely the reason why I could go back (aside from mango and sticky rice) is the Strawberry and Sweet Cream crepe. It was perfect. I felt bad that my kid wasn't with me because it's his favorite food. I also didn't feel bad because I got to enjoy it fully, all alone. It was sweet but again, not overly sweet. The strawberries were perfectly ripe and fresh and just the way I want fruit to be when it's hidden in a blanket of sweet cream sauce and housed inside of a crispy but somehow soft, crepe. The Thai Iced...

We called for reservations which was easy. I do wish they were on Open Table. We arrived 30 minutes early to see if they could still seat us and they did immediately. It was Friday night dinner so the place was packed. The restaurant is really big with lots of seats inside and outside. This restaurant consist of Thai traditional dishes and Thai dessert and coffee which comes from the Magnolia side. There is a great mixologist behind the bar making delicious cocktails with a Thai spin on it.
The service was superb and super fast. We had water at the table right after we sat down. The server came over right away. He was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Food and drink orders were out in quickly and arrived quickly. The service was just amazing.
The food menu is so cool. It’s in a newspaper format. There is also a whole dessert menu for the bakery side which was called Magnolia. Every single appetizer, soup, main entree, dessert, coffee and cocktail we ordered was delicious. They even had almond milk for my latte. They don’t have sweet tea but they’ll give you iced tea with a side of sugar syrup to pour into your iced tea which made it delicious as well.
Ok let’s talk about the Instagram and Tiktok worthy ambiance and decor. It definitely looks like an interior designer was hired for this restaurant. Every single detail from the lighting, furniture, decor, layout, gold “silverware”, dishes, cups, bathrooms, just everything was planned. They even had fresh flower on every table and in the bathrooms. They didn’t miss any detail. Even the music was hip and set the mood of the restaurant to be fun and enjoyable.
For Covid procedures they did have clear dividers, that were even beautifully designed with their logo on it, in between tables. They require masks for both employees and customers.
Honestly you can’t go wrong with coming here. The food weren’t even pricey. It’s all affordable. Hands down this place is worth the reservation. I recommend coming here for all types of events. Best of all come here for a date night or with your...
