We were immediately approached by the hostess who was very unwelcoming and off-putting. She told us they were completely booked for the next hour and a half. She changed her tune and got us a table after we agreed to be put on a waiting list. We were seated and then had to flag down a waitress to order drinks. Our waitress was very rude and visibly upset. At one point our waitress spilled water on me when pouring and then proceeded to blame me because I was holding onto my cup, instead of apologizing. We had to also ask to put in our food order. She proceeded to make us wait about 10 minutes after that request while she cleared and reset tables. The drinks were good, the food was only okay, but the service and atmosphere were terrible. There were at least three to five tables completely empty the whole entire time we were there. Why we were told they had no room for us at first is still a mystery. Overall a very underwhelming and unpleasant experience, definitely not worth the money spent. I would definitely choose Longtrees Woodfire Grill over the Garden Bar. The drinks there are just as delicious, the food is a little better and the service far exceeds that of...

Great atmosphere and amazing service from the staff. Kitchen was a little slow but the food was worth it. Dress is casual. This is a great date spot for those looking for a date night with the significant other. Expect to spend an hour here. Food We had the steak which was tender and cooked to perfection. The mash potatoes were delicious. The ravioli was definitely made for the garlic lover. The gyros were heavy handed on the fillings, making them almost impossible to eat without having a little bit first. The lobster bisque soup was good for local. Served with lobster on a crisped slice of bread. They do offer a kids drink cup option, but I think next time we'll get a babysitter. The coffee was good for black coffee. Dessert The tiramisu was delicious. It was moist yet not soggy with a definite bite. Portioned to share for sure. Much like the cheesecake, which I did not get to try.

This place is not going to disappoint a friend from out of town or the special someone in your life. I'll definitely be back when I wish to enjoy the finer side of...

As a small business owner ourselves in the hospitality industry, we have high standards and The Garden Bar on 6th receives an A+ for ambiance, service, friendly staff, great local music and some the BEST food we have eaten out in a long while. Kudos to the Chef, who came out and checked on us, the bartender who helped us find the right beer and martini for the food. Simply loved everything about our visit. We enjoyed smoked beets with goat cheese, lobster bisque soup, the bread and butter, to the wedge salad, the tuna poke stack was scrumptious and a meal on its own and topped off with a rack of dry rubbed ribs with 3 sauces. The only downfall was not having room for dessert. We will be back! Kudos and thank you for accepting chamber bucks when other businesses wouldn't. You earned our business as a repeat customers....

I had a Capresse salad for app and lamb gyro. The flavor and ingredients were well balanced and delicious. I appreciated the care to present the vegetables in different cuts it added to the overall appeal. I choose to upgrade the soup to the lobster bisque. It was a deconstruct soup. The lobster was delightful and the crisp, however, the base was noteless and blah. Even adding lobster to the soup bite the lobster was just lost in the bland unpleasant looking base. I was chatting with the gal at the table next to me and and she had the same opinion. And to finish an Italian lemon cream cake. This was delicious and balanced with light lemon flavor and a tad tart essence. And then a 4 piece jazz blend was playing. I have to admit the whole reason I ordered dessert just to have an excuse to stay awhile longer to listen.

Staff was incredibly personable and friendly. The waitress who had been my bartender from a couple weeks weeks ago immediately remembered me and even what I'd had to drink. The owner is a wonderfully kind woman, and very pleasant to chat with. I had the Beef Tips, which were perfectly done to my taste; juicy and just rare enough to really taste it. I even learned to enjoy mushrooms today. Only six beers on tap, which is the only thing I'd have liked to be different. But they're all good options, and all from the Minnesota region. And plenty of wine and bottled/canned beer to make up for it. So. Thanks for everything, Garden Bar <3

There are separate menus for lunch and dinner. The beef tips and Caesar salad with chicken were very good, but we were hoping to try the Gyros. I understand that preparing your own food is becoming a trend, but it was annoying to pay $12 for a salad and have to chop it up yourself. Not a deal breaker, but a trend I find annoying. The main reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is the slow service. Maybe it's because we were there on a Wednesday night. Also, the wait staff wasn't able to answer most of our questions with certainty. Overall, the place just didn't meet our expectations. The beer selection was lacking.
