HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Extremely disappointed in Mandy. Our (postponed x2) wedding is coming up on July 1st so I called a couple weeks ago to see when we could come in to try the suit on again since it’s been over a year and see where we were at, she told me she no longer had the suit and had “gotten rid of it”…. Aka sold it to someone else? Her excuse was that she thought we had already gotten married (why would our suit still be there?) and when I asked her why they didn’t call, she replied that they might have the wrong phone number on file. When I had spoke with someone last spring regarding having to postpone our wedding, they told me it would be fine to leave the suit there and that I didn’t have to come pick it up. Well, I wish I would have!
That wasn’t the only thing I was disappointed about. In January 2020 I won a free tux/suit rental for The Dashery at a bridal expo. When we went for our first appt, the gals were AMAZING. We got everything ordered, took his measurements, and they told us we didn’t have to pay for it! Well, now that I spoke with Mandy, she told me she wasn’t going to honor the free suit because it was for 6+ suits, not just one. That’s the first I heard of that… definitely wasn’t on the certificate I received! If I would have known that, I would have told them to give it to someone that could have used it. We’re doing a destination wedding and don’t have a wedding party so when I asked if she would still do it for the 1 suit (like it’s always been) she told me no since a lot of things have changed since Covid. I explained to her that being a bride during Covid is extremely stressful as well and that I didn’t think it was right she just decided to switch everything on us last minute. The sad thing is, she knows and told me how much she likes my husband… but she still treats us this way. Why give 6+ suits away for free, but not one?
I was always a fan of the dashery until I had to deal with Mandy. I will always bring my business...
Read moreMy husband bought a $400 suit including a $40 tie from here and we were really impressed with the service and quality initially. The experience after that was disappointing for us to say the least. He did not end up using the tie so went to return it in perfect condition with tags still on it just a few days later only to find they only do in-store credit or exchanges. Disappointing as he was not told this but when we came back there was a small sign on the counter stating that this is their policy. Frustrating nobody verbally told him that when he bought the suit and tie to begin with. Still loved their clothing so decided to exchange the tie for a shirt that was almost $60 and looked very nice, so paid the extra money to get it. Went to wash the shirt that night and found a pinky sized hole in it. Called the store and they were very friendly and told me to bring it in so they could look at it. Get to the store and they said due to their policy they would not take it back for in store credit or exchange. They offered to try to reach out to the company who makes the shirt to see if they would replace it for us but didn’t know how lengthy this could be and it did not sound hopeful they would help us. They did offer for their tailor to fix the hole but said they would charge us for it. Definitely won’t be shopping there again which is very disappointing because we want to support our local stores and they do have nice things. Just feel we spent a lot of money here and got poor customer service. Just sharing our experience so people know they cannot...
Read moreI reposted because their response to me was to email them my issue. Instead of emailing me back(I waited a week) they posted my email without telling me! The email had my husband and I’s full names and where we lived in the email. I was hoping for a response to work something out. I have never had a business do that before. Very unprofessional. Wish I could give 0 stars.
Original review: Lady on the phone told us to pay in full to rent a tux because it was three months before the wedding my husband was in. The wedding was canceled and we found out some of the other groomsmen were told they only had to pay half down. I called and asked for half our money back since it doesn’t seem right that we were told differently. I felt that was fair, I didn’t ask for all of it back because I understand they took a loss too. The lady I talked to said no refunds and we didn’t have to pay in full that was our choice (very rude). She kept interrupting me and kept saying no refunds and we didn’t have to pay in full.( She also never asked what wedding it was for or nothing, just immediately started arguing with me) I got sick of arguing with her and gave up. Completely terrible customer service to keep all of the money if we supposedly only had to pay half! If we only had to pay half then they should’ve returned half our money! I tell everyone I know not to use them...
