Travelers Inn in the heart of downtown Alexandria is a solid spot for a classic breakfast. Whether you're craving pancakes, omelets, biscuits and gravy, or a sweet caramel roll, nearly every dish is made from scratch and served with care. The staff is gracious and efficient, and the atmosphere feels like a blend of old-school diner charm in the front with a more spacious, no-frills dining area in the back—perfect for our party of six. Everyone at our table was happy with their meal and the service. For road-trippers, families, or anyone looking for a comforting and unpretentious breakfast, Travelers Inn really stands out.

We looked up breakfast places to hit up before heading home. We were not disappointed with The Travelers Inn. We were here about 830 on a Sunday morning and we got a table with ease but it quickly picked up. This place is ran extremely well. Servers are fast & efficient. Owner was present bussing & waiting tables, making espressos, checking on customers. Food was fast, hot and delicious. This place is apparently known for their caramel/cinnamon rolls so we ordered some to take with. Definitely the best I've ever had! The vibe here is so fun. We will definitely make this a breakfast stop everytime we're in town!

We ended up at Travelers after leaving another restaurant in town (Depot Express... don't waste your time there). At Travelers we were waited on right away, the food came out fast and it was definitely hot. Waitress was very nice, and chatted with another waitress who was just as nice. They apparently serve alot of people on the weekend, salad bar needed some attention, but it was close to closing time 2:00 on Sundays. The pies looked amazing, but we were stuffed, going back today for those! I would reccomend this place to anyone visiting.

Service was poor. We felt neglected. When we asked for something the waitress would roll her eyes at us and was rude. Orders were wrong. Eggs not done way asked and were rubbery, sausage instead of bacon we still got bacon no sausage at all and bacon was rubbery. Mashed potato's were way to salty and the waitress didn't ask what kind if potatoes like stated in menu. The breakfast quesadilla was blah tasting and had no flavor. Pop was flat and milks were warm. When one of us got salad bar she went up there and didn't have any lettuce and when said something to the workers they looked at her and didn't say anything or put more out. When trying to get waitresses attention she blew us off and asking a different waitress the waitress had to call for our waitress and still had to wait a long time for her. And the place wasn't that busy. Had to wait for approximately 15 minutes for check. Waitress gum was to minty smell to the point eating that's all u could taste from the smell and the bathrooms had way too much cinnamon smell. Will NOT be...

The epitome of small town diners. Pop's Diner from Riverdale has nothing on our Travelers. They serve breakfast all day. That means that you can walk in during normal dining hours and get three pancakes as big as your head at 7 o' clock at night. If that isn't magic I don't what is. They have the absolute best Lemon Angel Pie, the most scrumptious omelets, and stunningly good hash browns. If you think that this place is like Perkins, then you would be wrong because it has 100% more character, and you're supporting a local business. I can honestly think of no better backdrop to sunny summer afternoons downtown than Travelers. When I put five stars on here I really and deeply truly mean it, as I have never come across nor will come across a diner as yummy, nostalgia-inducing, or utterly ours than Travelers. Going to Traveler's is a genuine treat and I already miss it even though it's not gone. Traveler's, you have really done...

I’m not sure how this place gets so many good reviews???? We tried it because people raves about it but were severely disappointed and out $60 while still hungry. We ordered the baked chicken that came with mashed potatoes and “house made gravy”, a vegetable and a roll. The chicken was undercooked and dry at the same time, all while being bland. Not even sure there was salt on it. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box and the gravy was packet gravy and overly watery without much flavor. It was more a texture on the potatoes. Green beans came from a can & tasted as such. The spaghetti was mushy and sauce was also bland and watery. The mushy spaghetti was swimming in water. Fries were fine, chicken tenders were good. The salad was watery but the dressing and tortilla strips on top were good. I wouldn’t recommend nor will I...
